He was never asked to be on the team. His speed is nowhere near the riders like Paulin ,ferrandis and frossard. But the biggest thing with Pourcel is that he dont have any fighting spirit out on the track..I love Pourcel because he is so different from everyone else, but he would not be a good choice for the team.

Congratulations France, Belgium, USA! France definitely earned this by being fast and consistent. Well done Team France!

For about a year now I've had a feeling from watching him that when ET is on, and everything is working, he is incredibly fast. I think he proved that for all to see today.

You're right, he was never asked to be on the team.

But, I repeat, he said many times in 2014 (and before Olivier Robert's team choice was made) that he didn't want to be on the french squad. Is that clear ?

You may want to re-read the title of the thread...has nothing to do with team USA. We got beat fair and square, no excuses the GP riders have uped their game the last 5 yrs and it appears that they can beat us on their soil fairly regularly.
Now read the last sentence of my previous post and it's fairly easy to see what category you fall into.....

Awesome, great job across the board by the French, terrific for Paulin! Makes up a bit for 2011 and they'll be running 1-2-3 at home on 2015. It'll be nuts I bet.

Great race, really enjoyed it! Hope the wounded are good to go soon,
