Just bought a ktm 360 need help

I just picked the bike up for 200 and it ran fine. But I am going to go through it and check for bad parts and regrease everthing.
When I went to clean the clutch cable I took off the stator cover and was greeted by oil this color and quite a bit of it whats wrong with the bike ?

That generation of KTM was bad about eating crank seals. Be sure to inspect the flywheel and make sure the magnets haven't started coming loose due to oil exposure. Had this happen to me in the 90s on a 300 I had.

What do you think I could sell it for fixed it has quite a few upgrades like steering stablizers and fmf pipe and other small things.

Classic sign of bad water pump seals. You've got coolant in the oil. The ony way to fix that is to replace the water pump seals. when you tear it down, you might find the water pump shaft is worn if it's got a groove in it. If it does, you'll have to replace the shaft as well. what year is the bike? '96 or '97? I forgot...you'll also have to replace the tranny oil. I recommend draining it, and refilling with kerosene. Ride it up the street and back to stir things up, then drain it out and let it sit with the oil plug out overnight, then refill with the proper tranny oil.

I found it in the stator side though so I think the premix is mixing with the coolant. So I think it may be the head gasket.

Ok but did you drain the transmission oil to see what that looks like?

WOW Great find I raced the 96 360 out of 40 2 stroke's I have raced over the the years that was my favorite motor I would love to have that motor in 2015 chassis.

I didnt drain the tranny oil but I unscrewed the cap and looked in it didnt look dirty at all. But do you think I should drain it. Oh wagonmaster I rode it and I feel its uncontrollable but I do ride a 125 and am not use to that much power.I selling it so if you want it make me an offer. Thanks

Yes, drain the tranny oil. If the bikes been sitting, it needs it. Don't try to skimp out on fluids, it doesn't usually end well.

Drain it and see what it looks like and do what he said above.
