Not here.... We have way more important things like illegal immigration to not worry about.

They could make them degradable i guess but they would prolly have a shelf life.

Mx/enduro will be banned soon enuff so no need for tearoffs.

Hey have been banned in off-road here for a number if years, and since so dog out tracks are in working farms some motocross tracks have banned them as week, the bio degrade versions do not degrade quick enough to be effective

god dam auto correct and bad typing on a iphone,

we have had no tear offs in off road for a number of years, and some tracks have banned them in moto as well, due to be working farms and part time motocross tracks,

I believe they are banned in the NW for all enduro races. If I use them during a race or at a track, I try to pick up the same amount or trash from the ground. I try to do that either way, but I really think about after I use a tear off.

on the trails where I ride, for every tear off I use there are 1000 pieces of plastic and trash left by people who fish the rivers in the area. If they want to clean up the trails, tear offs are not the best place to start. Plus I already conserve tear offs like they are made of gold because the last thing I need is to spend more money on moto than I already do.

You gotta think about that for a minute, 80+ riders going on a national track 4 separate times loaded with 7-14 laminate tearoffs each time! That waist probably starts adding up at some point. Roll offs are a great alternative if your looking to be environment friendly but tear offs are still better.

You don't need tear offs on a trail ride, this thread is talking about racing.

Like Jeff said tear offs for non muddy conditions will always be better than roll offs.

For MX I'd argue safety first. Roll offs are better than not seeing at all in mud but tearoffs provide far better vision 90% of the time. To ban then for MX should be considered a safety hazard.

Anyway where are they all? They must get picked up already and if not start picking them up! Banning them for MX is just stupid. Trails I get it. The area is just too large. You can even get away with using your sleeve a lot of the time anyway when trail riding.

Would the GP series make a statement and not go to the UK for a race if the riders make a big enough complaint about it?

No race tracks on working farms here. Good thing to I hated blasting around a corner on the track only to have some sheep standing there. Most of the mx tracks I raced on there only allowed roll offs which suck.

My dad was so cheap he would pick up my used tear-offs and clean them and try to make me reuse them...

He was an environmentalist and I didn't even know it.

Turn the kids loose on the track after the races and pay them a nickel apiece for all they turn in...or t-shirts or whatever kids these days can be bribed with. Enduro track is too long to make this practical but might work for moto.

1973 we raced on the second Eaton Ohio track and I broke my collarbone while dicing for the lead of the 3rd moto and my buddy Tim Allemang hit this sheep during practice and crashed. Tim AKA The Bull rode back to the pits and asked "did anyone see me hit that wooly!" HTBT but it was funny.

First Eaton track in 1972 you had to ride across an enduro type water section to get to the MX track. No way in hell you would see people do that today. Our MX tracks many times had water holes that for sure would be considered enduro worthy today.

In Holland and Belgium you are not allowed to run tearoffs, not in Enduro or MX. This rule for every race including the national championships.
When there is a GP the GP riders are allowed to use tearoffs..
