Ok ok, dang legalists.

The best whip ever (IN A RACE) was Guy Cooper over the finish at Anaheim into Swink. May not be the most stretched out or inverted but back in this day getting this close in mid air was nearly unheard of. He actually stretched it out more than this snap shot shows. There you have it.

We walked up to the skyshot at Unadilla on Saturday morning during practice and the whips that Fredrik Noren was doing lap after lap were just insane. I hope someone a pic or two of him over it because they were just NASTY. He did one on the site lap was flat and almost turned around backwards before he landed it. He also did a handful during the motos but nothing like the ones he was doing in practice.

Yup, great shot! Those were some of the sickest whips that I've seen at the races in a long time.

Tim Ferry was going off at Englishtown Kawasaki Race of Champions in the mid-to-late 90's. I think it was every lap. I have some that I can scan in.

The first real one and most intense was RC after the checkers after his first win. Yes after but at the end of a race so... He threw about six inverted and backwards, the first real whips of that whole generation. It was insane.

Roczen's whip at Lakewood on the first lap (or was it second?) was insane and I think it was at Indy in Milsaps' rookie season DM18 busted out this big whip over the start finish line on the first lap.

For me there are two components that go into a crazy whip....the actual whip itself of course which is biggest percentage but an "average" whip that comes out of nowhere can be pretty crazy too.. Timing's everything.

I'm pretty sure this was the first lap of a heat race and the photos don't really do it justice.. even though I think he's a bit of a dick I was pretty happy with this.. (rd13 2014 for those playing at home)

Gold if anyone could find this from '03/'04?

Stewarts pass/scrub/whip on Paul Carpenter over a triple in SX. (kudos of you remember what race that was)

Stew was still on 125 and Carpenter was riding for factory kawi at the time on a 250f.

I have seen that video.

If I remember correctly, one of the commentators said something along the lines of Carpenter trying to make a pass back and the others just laughed as they knew Stewart wouldn't be caught.
