my question is, has he even been training for sx? what happens if he gets the boot, and noone wants him... im sure he will come up with a place to train. but will it be even close to what he had before to prepair? #1 plate on a privateer bike? wouldnt that be cool.

I say he bypasses the whole meth/mma career and the next time we see him is through the camera of police chopper.

I say he comes back all privateer and still gets top 3 for the series w/o a factory/ or support ride.

I'd say he's just another statistic. It's time to pay the piper. Quite frankly I don't want to drink another monster drink again because they keep supporting this dead beat.

That would be cool to see him do the GP's.

But, what Manufacture/ Team would want the kid on their bike, if indeed he was wanted over here in the States on felony warrants or if he is convicted of a felony .
You would think Japan would not be to thrilled about him at this point...
Also wouldnt that make it almost impossible for him to get a visa?

Sounds more and more like Brad Lackey, who won the 82 world 500cc title, but asked for too much money and had burned so many bridges with Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki that only Yamaha would provide him a bike for USGP in 1983!

mom..you mean there is not one shred of truth to yamaha telling yot to get rid of him?
10/8/2008 8:31am
he had more time than anyone else to get ready for sx. could have been training all summer long to come out bigger and better than ever like his appology letter said. but did he do anything but party and waste time? raced the xgames, if thats what you want to call a race.
being a fan, it would be nice to know whats going on with him. knowing if he is going to be at a sx race that i may want to go to. otherwise ill show support for other riders and stop wondering if and when he will be back.

If he is cleared by the AMA someone will give him a ride. There is no doubt that he has talent, its just a matter of whether or not he is smart enough to do anything with it.

Time will tell.... maybe we should stop talking about him and start a pool . lets take bets on him coming back or taking Hammertimes route....

Easy GuyB, I'm not taking a shot at you or really anyone else. Did not mean to offend. All you ever did is tell us what you were told. Obviously there's someone involved with YoT with loose lips that confirms things which haven't been decided yet.

It really speaks to the craziness of the Lawrence situation that there are these reports of his firing being imminent, but they still try to work it out. To me, it really seems like lots of people are trying to help him but he is dead-set on derailing his career.

Sad!
Having been the 1 who brought him to "Blue" in the
1st place, all this drama wasn't really a thought at
the time. I hired him for only 1 reason, & 1 reason
alone. He was & is a talented & gifted rider.
Sure I was aware of his "afterlife", but it was also
not my thought to bail on the team I helped re-build.
Jason, Cunningham & the others got the short end of my
leaving, but I really believe that had I stayed, & the
team politics at the time between ALL involved never
happened, things would have been different.
It's all about how you "ride the horse".
I was 100% plus involved daily. That alone didn't continue.
The "what if's" are always easy to say, but his title shows
ability wise I was right.
I hope in time he can straighten it all out.

Yes it is. Brad had the prestigious no1 plate in the world 500cc champs which he could have taken to any one of the japanese manufacturers, but as BobbyM said, they have their pride and honour and wouldn't overlook bridges he had burned with previous employers.
I wasn't infering Brad had done similar things which J-Lawless has brought upon himself.
