I'm trying to upload more, but maybe the file sizes r too big. First time with a DLSR, pretty happy with the shots.

Packing though, will have to come later. Pretty good show today, but the track was too smooth, everyone was going the same speed, wasn't even a yo-yo affect. Like safe driving day, keep a bike length back for every 5 km/hr.

Anyway, always cool, and a beautiful day at the races is always fun. Didn't like paying $5 more ($30 total), the product isn't better. But I love MX so much I would drive down and give them the $ just to support the sport.

There were some two stroke KTM's there that made me absolutely drool.

Motoconcepts looked pretty professional (so do all the top teams), but kinda neat that their team colour is white.

Jeff Emig's neighbor looked good, he and Benoit never really came together, same speed set though I think. No. 27 in MX2 killed (Jesse Wentland) everyone. Even with MA winning twice, that was the most dominant race of the day. Austin P. must really be hurting, he didn't look ready at all.

Josh Hill, you can tell when he is walking in the pits he was hurt bad in the flip, but great to have him here. He was off the leaders a bit but beautiful to watch, dude has style. Jeff A. was a bit of a roadblock at times, he's gotta get going (hurt?). The gaps seemed definitive and very consistent, MA and CF, then JH and BK (love that guy what an attitude and charger), then Tyler and Chisholm and Maier, and then the rest.

Interesting how the Kawi's were the fire breathing dragons of destruction in the past, and they still sound as such, but it's all rider now IMO.

I thought Monster put on a much better show than Rockstar, maybe first year growing pains.

$30 is what I expected to pay when I went to Deschambault last week. It was $25 back in 97, so 30 is reasonable. When the lady at the gate said $20, I had to make her say it again.

As for the riding, I made similar observations last week. I was pleased by the show, the Canadian Nats are doing pretty good these days.

I spent a lot of time at the step down,The ammount of whips and scrubs that get thrown off that jump are through the roof. Last lap of the last moto, Nathan Bles whipped off it and turned around and looked right at me. I went to shoot the pic, but I didnt hear the shutter go off because my camera was in sleep mode. Boy wasnt I pissed! Heres the link to the FB album I uploaded, has 359 pictures in it. I'll upload a few here!

A few edited pics I got!

And some un-edited ones

It's a guy from Alberta. The idea is to run with the "snowmobile" track kits. That's why the shock is removed and the area used for the turbo. The suspension on these is in the track set-up.
The track kits make a 450 pretty slow because of the drag and weight. The turbo supposedly puts them closer to 100 horsies so allow the riders to use 4-5 in the snow, instead of just the first 2 gears. It is pretty cool.Cool

What do you use for a camera? It was my first time with a DSLR (of my own) taking pics. I picked up a Rebel T3 with the 18-55mm kit lens for $200 the day prior to the nationals. Im planning on getting a couple decent lens, and hopefully getting better!
