All it would add is 90 minutes to the week.

Hell,shorten it 10 minutes,50 + guys may want 2 or 3 less laps.

Earl hit 45 plus guys by lap 2.

These guys ,like me,had a hand in building the sport, doing great things and such.

My main reason to go to LL was knowing that I'd get to race,no matter where in the field you had guys all around.

No 4 lap local bs with 2 gates,

The number of lappers they passed was really unreal.

I'd sit there 3 more hours to let them have their own gate, hell, you are there 8 or 9 days, what is a few more hours.

Took down the funny pic because I didn't realize how serious, and upset you guys would get.

They have too many classes already....Why have a 45+ class? Do a 40+ and 50+....

The kids classes are even more ridiculous!

Since they run staggered starts and are still scored separately, what's your beef with the whole thing? Just curious to understand. You saying there's an issue with lappers?

your comment about the Earl hitting 45+ guys by lap 2.... Is he a 50+ rider?? If so, are they lining the 50+ guys ahead of of the 45+?

Posted by a dude that pry has never lined up at a meaningful race. Did you even watch this moto yesterday, or post blindly? That moto was carnage, too many on the track and two different skill levels. That's not fair to treat the old guys like that, they are the only people putting money into the sport of motocross, treat them right. And I am not being biased, I am in my twenties.

You ever been on or seen the track in person? It gets a little crowded with 60 bikes on it. And no the 50+ does not line up ahead of the 45+.

It was pretty wild watching Parker rip thru the lappers - it was like some of there were standing still. I guess the point of those classes at LL is more about the taking part than winning and scoring a factory contract - they all (inc the lappers) seemed very respectful of everyone's space on the track which was nice to see.

Cheers

I thought it was clear but again,

Earl is 50+ ,they start a half minute behind 45+ but he hir backmarkers by lap 2.

I agree,45+ is overkill.prolly.

My beef? Add 90 mintes to the week and let the race alone.

These guys didn't buy a 450 at age 42 and decide to race then go to LLs.

They raced all their like and probably been going there for a long time.

My 1st trip there was 1987. ,7th oa on a husky 430 in open b.

No but I can imagine how chaotic that must be..

Damn, so there's an issue with the 45+ guys having to navigate through the entire 50+ field as early as the second lap?

Yea, that's not right. The entire class (hell, both classes) should raise hell with MX Sports about that. Doesn't even sound safe and clearly sounds like it hinders competition differently than in other classes..

Gotcha... Yea, not sure how MX Sports can look those riders in the eyes and say the the benefits of the current format outweigh the negatives.. Not fair to the guys who have worked their ass off and spend shitloads of money along the way to get there. I can understand it for the 51cc classes, but not guys who have 30-40yrs plus of riding experience

Yes you did. Like many times in your life you realized you were standing alone after you took a chance at humor. That sir, is why you took it down.

I think we should definitely add more motos in.

Add more classes too....
20+, 23+, 25+ with a bad left arm, 30+, 35+, 38+ Diverticulitis and up, 40+, 42+ non smoking, 45+, 48+ Statin inhibitor class, 50+, 55+ non-AARP, 60+, Septuagenarian class

And of course a B/C class for all those listed.

I read somewhere emig was gonna race, not trying too start something but I thought Loretta's was an amatuer race, I'm confused

There are a lot of riders who have ridden most of their lives that are now getting into their 50s and still wanting to race at this level.

Maybe Loretta's could add a vet day or two like Mammoth Motocross did years ago?
