I've noticed over the past few races, Craig is running Geico graphics on his bike and looks like Alias gear with Geico on it. Is he getting a little support from the Geico Honda Team? I tweeted Matthes about it but my name isn't Sin Jin, so of course he wouldn't answer me back.

It's been covered pretty extensively already. But yes, he's married to the daughter of Geico Honda co-owner Jeff Majkrzak. He had a pretty stock bike the first race back and has gotten a few more upgrades now.

Here's an older thread that has some info leading up to the racing:

I wonder if she has a sister?? Or if any of the other team owners are looking to depart with a daughter!

Pretty reasonable to assume that at age 23 his competitive juices may get flowing again. Hes supposed to get Geico help for Washougal then thats it but Matthess somewhere reported that he may load up the van and do Indiana too.

He looks like he needs to give this mx/sx stuff another shot imo.

Wow, hes only 23? He's still got another 8-10 years of competitive racing.

He's a great talent for sure. If nothing else he can live a regular life, be home with his family, ride and race for fun, and be a complete stud and top 20 the few nationals each year he likes.

How awesome would that be?

Yeah but from his perspective of not making much money and getting injured; think of how much further ahead he will be financially by doing the job he is. Not to mention how much he will preserve his body by not racing for the next 10 years. 10 more years of injuries and little pay vs. 10 years of building a career that pays money and saves his body. I think Christians decision was smart.

Very impressed with his ride on the weekend!

Hope he make a few more before the season is done.
