I just cleaned my air filter and put oil in it and my bike will not start. I think it is because i put too much oil in it. Is this possible? Since it cant get as much air as it needs

Sometimes after I clean my air filter, if I put to much oil in the filter, the excess oil in the filter will get sucked into the carb when I go to start it and make it hard to start that first time, but it usually still starts. What kind of bike do you have?

Pull the filter off and try to start it.

You should let your bike sit overnight or let a freshly oiled filter sit overnight before you install and try to start. The strong vacuum from a thumper will from will pull filter oil into the injectors or carb.

Did you stuff a rag in the air box while the filter was out ,and forget to take it out before you installed the filter ?

It has a backfire screen so you can't put anything in it. I'm going to try and start it in a little

I put the air filter on after it sitting over night and it ended up starting. I have no clue what the problem was but I think I might buy an air filter to be safe

What filter oil do you use and did you see it puddling in or dripping out of the air box?

I think it's the maxima fft in a bottle that just pours. It was not dripping from the filter from what I know of. I'm thinking it might be cause I'm using the stock filter and it's not the quality of a replacement

Use a gallon zip lock bag put small amount of filter oil inside then the air filter and rub th fluid inside the filter thensqueeze the excess filter oil out, please do not ring the filter out.
