With kr94,tc41,rd5,js7 and et3 out there going at insane speeds...it highly doubtful that cr22 will get a fifth overall.

I talked to him today. He said in a perfect world, this would have been his first race back. Physically he's okay, but is racing back into race shape.

reed like 14th in practice 1, reed has been horrible in practice all year.
Unless p2 goes better for reed im picking 9th overall today.

Shame the pressure from sponsors to get the show on the road, as well as the $$$ involved, all but forced him to come back sooner he probably should have. Chad's a "head case" kinda guy too...he can be physically ok, like you said...but if his head's not on right and he's not running the speed he believes he should be...he gets messed up. I'm no expert, but seems to me like he almost sabotaged his success by having to deal with less than stellar rides up until now trying to "race into shape".

That said, really hope Chad can top-5 today. It would be a huge boost to his confidence.

Pressure from sponsors is part of the deal when cash, parts and support, etc. is accepted, right?

Chad Reed "sabotaged his success" with "less than stellar rides"? Really? Sure he's had bikes/teams along the way that he hasn't agreed with, at times, but I'd say most of the riders probably have also. Chad might be just more vocal about it.

I'm no expert either, but In my opinion Chad's story is one of GREAT success...on and off the track.

The way that Reed hung onto the back fender of Stewart for the first half of the moto showed a lot of heart. He kept the pressure on the Suzuki rider and forced him into a mistake.



I bet Ronnie is upset he let that one slip away.

Welp, I wasn't "too" far off. He did have 5th place speed (Short) today but the guy can't seem to get a start this year, excluding Muddy Creek. I really think he'll be okay from here on if he can just get his starts dialed. But he's not touching those top 4 guys, nobody is.
