Is all James needs to win races so this prescriptive drug violation is horse shit. Why all these jackoffs assume he takes whatever it is helps him to win races is beyond comprehension .

Anyone notice that the race he tests positive to a banned substance is the race where he didnt crash, wasnt injured but still couldnt win. And he had more then 1 o shit moment too. I dont beleive its performance enhancing or else he should get his money back from whoever he got it from

I think we should all agree the real guys that take real PEDS will not get caught. I dont need WADA or whomever to tell me what enhances what. If your honest with yourself, you know what helps and what doesn't. Anyone remember Jolt cola? I dont remember guys slamming that before a moto, but Im sure it would peg the WADA meter if you did. Like most said, this testing is a joke. Kinda reminds me of locking up a guy with a quarter ounce of weed while almost every asshole in our congress has ripped off millions right under our noses. Its a joke.

Stewart needs to follow the rules like everybody else needs to. That's the bottom line. It doesn't matter if what he takes makes him a better rider or not.

Plain and simple he broke the rules, the contract, and the code.

Why does Stewart have the right not to follow the rules or not understand them? It's hard for me to believe a professional athlete of his caliber is plainly and simply this clueless.

Why do so many of you think it's philosophically OK for him to backpedal after breaking the rules, the contract, and the code? Explanation or not, this stance is not just naive, it's being plainly and simply stupid.

I hope they make an example of Stewart, regardless of his "proof".

I think you might be reading some of us wrong. I love watching James ride a motorcycle, but if he is guilty, then he is guilty. Not my problem and whatever happens to him will happen. I will still ride motorcycles and watch races so it has no bearing on me if he is riding or not.

I just think this testing is stupid and worthless. If its happening, then the guys that are good at it or their trainers know how to beat tests. If anyone has never listened to the Victor Conte interview with Joe Rogan you will know what I mean.

I guess its good for getting some all riled up though.

You are wrong. The testing has absolute value.

I witnessed these very same attitudes and philosophies with controlled testing, just like yours, through professional cycling media for almost 15 years. I'm glad professional cycling was completely pulled apart at the seams as a result of doping.

I have no doubt that many professional SX and MX athletes need a similar reality check.

James is a professional, and his team should make sure he doesn't fail a drug test.

So if he has a prescription for Testosterone for a low T count, then he doesn't have to disclose it to the FIM, WADA, or USADA?

Your reasoning has no basis.

If that's your platform, it's seriously flawed. HGH, testosterone and other validated PEDs can also be a prescribed med.

Edit: dirthead was along the same lines

Except for the fact that I don't get paid millions of dollars and have a dozen people that help make sure my day is running smoothly and everything in my program is taken care of.

It was a fuck up by someone on his team to not follow the rules.
At that level there is no excuse for "forgetting" that you're taking a script that is against the testing rules.

It really sucks because clearly James didn't get where he is because of a pill but still a failed test is a failed test.

Several fighters in the UFC have had TUE for and used testosterone during competition. Their claim is/was that concussions can cause reduced natural testosterone output. I believe they have amended their policy and not longer allow TUE for testosterone, but they definitely allowed it at one point. You want to talk about a performance advantage? Testosterone for an MMA fighter has to be near the top...
My point is I don't think it's unreasonable for JS to have a TUE for Adderall.

It isn't unreasonable at all. It's just a major problem for him because he didn't bother getting a TUE 30 prior to the season's start or anytime after. Ultimately, it is HIS responsibility and not his handlers or support staff.

Just because it is a prescribed medication does not make it legal it is on the banned list and you have to get an exception to use it.

He did not have an exception tested positive his loss.

Exactly how I feel. I love Stewart but come on man!! Somebody in his circle should have had some fuckin sense that shit was not legal.

Matthes said in Racerhead that he thinks when Stewart gets the proper paperwork to the proper people he will be ok, but may have to pay a fine.

Obviously someone dropped the ball here. The people I was talking to are the ones who said that even if he has a prescription or if he had a TUE, he's still "cheating"

the WADA pee test is a known thing. If his meds are going to flagged, his team should know. period. I don't blame James if he requires an Adderall prescription. I blame his team if they neglected the the drug restriction documentation. IF.

I think Matthes may be a bit naive on the forthcoming penalty.

Robert Mathis of the NFL's indianapolis Colts recently had a similar situation, he tested positive for a fertility drug that was supposedly prescribed by a doctor but is on the banned substance list. The fact that he claims to have had his doctors approval makes no difference if you claim ignorance of the process of getting the TUE exemption and fail a test. The end result was a 4 game suspension which accounts for 25% of the NFL season.

Earlier in another thread someone posted directly from the WADA website it could be just a warning if you have a prescription.

Tha'ts right, anything from a reprimand to a 2 yr ban for a first offence if the substance is explainable
