Yeah, it sure does suck though. Hopefully it is handled professionally from here on, and I expect it will be. It is in the team's best interest to put the facts out there.

Also....for everyone complaining about how slow this has been processed....we've had an investigation going on into a few of our professional football teams over here with peptide use. The thing has been going on for over a year and not a single player has been named - terrible situation for the club, as every player is under suspicion until the results are made public (which I doubt they will)

Yeah that's the sad part. He was always known as possibly the most talented in the sport. Now it's a big question mark... That sucks!

This is just an initial release from Stewart's team. He could have tested positive for something major or for something minor like the statement insinuates. One thing I know is every person in other sports who is caught take this same approach. It is always a simple mistake, hopefully in this case it was.

PulpMX Twitter....

Is Steve implying he has known for 2 days? If so....that is some good acting on his part

Let's not forget about what AJ Allmendinger went through. Not really comparable...as he is not a top top Nascar talent..but within days of the test...people were declaring him a drug addict...when it reality...he was just a bonehead.

James is a human being like everyone else here. If the drug was prescribed to control ADD/ADHD, and was taken regularly by him...then the performance enhancement would have been nil. Performances I'd only dramatically enhanced in those who take those drugs sporadically, on a non-regular basis with the sole intent of enhancement. So what if Cole Seely admitted that he suffered from ADD/ADHD...and Stew didn't because he didn't want to lay his personal weakness on the line. To face punishment over testing positive for a substance that's legal, has been prescribed by a medical doctor, and has been used to control a long standing problem with a rider is complete bullshit.
No the real question is how would he go if he didn't take the drug?

PED's have nothing to do with talent. Laughing

This sucks for James.

It also makes a lot of sense if you look at the crashing in the past and the change over the last year if he indeed has ADHD and in now taking Adderal. Most of his crashes have looked like a lack of or loss of focus. That is exactly what Adderal treats.

However, condition or not, if you READ the rules you will find that there is a provision for an exception to be made in narrow circumstances IN ADVANCE of the competition with approval from WADA or USADA. It appears that the exception was not applied for/not granted thus he is in violation. Having a prescription for the drugs is not an excuse after the fact. It may make his fanboys feel better and spin the situation, but it doesn't change things.

Say what you will, feel sorry for James if you must, but when the rules are clear and you break them, even if you are James (or Lance), you need to do the time.

I hope this opens some eyes in the sport.

Man this is one screwed up world. When its ok to take drugs and cheat just to get ahead in sports its time to give up on humanity. People are saying it was prescribed by a Dr for a long term condition...But...although the condition is long termed he just started taking the medicine. That doesn't make it ok. Regardless if it was prescribed by a Dr it was supposed to be reported to officials when it was prescribed....he didn't report it....Hiding the use of drugs is wrong. For all those out there that think drugs are ok...How would you feel if I hung around your local track and gave your kids a few FREE samples?

Just because he is fast and he has style and etc etc doesn't make him above the law...does it?

JS7 is still my favorite. Prescribed meds. No big deal. He should have been more careful and let them know but we all make mistakes.

Glad he and Yoshimura came out and went ahead and said it. Now time time for him and WADA to sit down, figure it out and move on.

Does this mean his fine can help pay for the asterisk mobile medic unit for a couple more rounds?

Saying "I have ADHD and I take meds for it" is a hell of a lot better than getting dragged down like this isn't it?

So does this mean he was positive from every test on out? would make sense if it was prescribed and he really needed. Surely this wasnt his only test?

Yesterday on Instagram Denny Stephenson posted a rant about this. He didn't mention it was James Stewart but he did say it was Adderall, very common for ADHD.

Adderall is banned in most pro sports.

Has it or will it be published what he actually failed for? I am hearing Adderall and Anadrol. Big difference in the two.

I can understand the whole have a script scenario but why didn't he bring it up BEFORE the test so this wasn't such a big issue. Appears to have something to hide by not getting it in the open up front.
to get a drug "legally", don't you need a script/prescription from a doctor?
in js7,he does say he is cheap.lol. now,he has to pay off many,to have this "illegal" transaction covered up...I mean rectified...I mean this misunderstanding...
fwiw, I'm sure he is not alone with medical drugs being taken in this sport,if you get my drift, just sloppy.
well, its good to know he is taking something to focus better on the track.that should account for something positive!

Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? This is an initial response without even an appeal yet. I wonder how many kids in the pee wee class would be clean?
