Edit: Like MXGP, I'll wait until I get to play it before making too much of a decision. But it looks like they maybe went too far towards unleashed on some things. Maybe its just been so long since I've turned on ALIVE I don't remember the physics. but it just seems...I don't know. Off. It'll be interesting to see how the other tracks look and having someone decent play the game. Doesn't look like we'll be using the other control to lean the rider in corners like MXGP is, which to me is the worst part of that game.
MX SIMULATOR is still godmode in this department
consider me disappointed.

Looks like a good blend of Reflex and Alive from the very basic look we got from that.
3rd quarter release.
physics looked like a mix between Reflex and MX Unleashed.
I was hoping for some more realism this time around. Still WFO around the turns and such. Was hoping they'd take the more realistic MXGP style of slowing the game down a little bit.
That was terrible.
MXGP may not be perfect but they are progressing a hell of a lot faster than the guys from Phoenix. Apparently they blew their wad with MCM and MCM2.
initially when I saw the MXGP game I didn't think much either, but after playing I really enjoyed it. Same with this one.

it's not perfect, but i'm also not going to rag on every little thing that i think isn't perfect.
everyone wanted an updated Reflex, that's what this looked like. i'll buy it as i'm sure everyone here will.
i will reserve judgement until i play the entire game though.
The guy playing it on that show did them no favors at all.
Some of the comments by the host also showed there is no idea from the general public about motocross / Supercross racing at all.
Comments like is there any chance of really goofing this game and getting crazy with it after referencing road rash and pulling out a crow bar to knock your opponent off.
Please Nordic, do your self a favor and get some decent game play footage out ASAP.
It's always interesting to see the difference between the companies that know how to produce a game and announce it vs those who don't. Do you think 343 would let some fucktard who had know clue how to play Halo introduce their game and show that footage? It blows my mind that the guys over at Rainbow show the absolute shittiest rider for their gameplay release.
A few things:
1.) Have they ever seen a dirt bike being ridden, let alone ridden on themselves? How many times do you guys lean the complete opposite direction that you're turning?
2.) What happened to being released the first half of '14? Last time I checked, Q3 is the second half...
3.) Those scrubs were completely fucked. They nailed it in Reflex, and then totally screwed it up in Alive. The bike is supposed to be flat - you're not supposed to just rotate 90* on a Y axis.
4.) What does the rider bounce up? I'm all for seat bouncing, but they took the term just a touch too literally.
What a shit show...
Not too impressed with what I saw. Might play better than it looks though.
I don't know why they got back to the "bouncy physics." The jumps are way too big.
The Stewart Compount SX tracks are a good model for what I want to see.
