People on here are insane. Just take 3 minutes and look at his instagram. 300 people write "when are you comin back!?" and he ends up responding "I'm just riding for fun like you guys". Can you fault him for that???

While we are at it, lets talk about Jeff Emig too. Since no one is allowed to move forward from their mistakes, lets bring up all the old arrests from everyone! He was fired from a Factory Kawasaki ride for getting caught with pot, had some plea agreement for public intoxication, yeah, lets bring that up! Then lets toss in some gossip and call this person or that person a meth head just for kicks. Ive never witnessed so much hate for someone just because they quit riding a motorcycle.

A successful, humble, legend of a motocross racer who once got caught smoking weed and publicly intoxicated... and who also learned his lesson, is a whole lot different then some d-bag entitled, shit talking, drugged out, kid who gets in fights and goes to jail. The guy burned his bridges, can I see him coming back and doing decent as a privateer? If he somehow decided that he needs to do things the right way then yes, but he would never get a decent ride out of it because he would be a horrible investment. I don't see him training and putting in enough time anyways.

Remember when he went on transworld and talked about dungey? Said he was weak minded or something like that, and eluded to himself still being better than dungey? That's pretty halarious now, and I bet he still thinks a lot of it. That's the kind of person he is.
When your mind is made up about someone there is no point in arguing with you, especially over the internet where no one wins. Im very proud to call Jason a friend, and im happy where he is at right now. Hes happy, maybe thats why you have hate for him? Hes content being himself, call him whatever you want, but the fact is you don't know what he is doing. Flame away my friend.

I thought they crucified the only perfect man that ever lived, but the vital forums seem to be full of perfect motherfu**ers. Wheres my pitchfork!? I want to get in a few jabs at a troubled young guy. I laugh at the "He wasted his opportunity!!" Comments. It was his opportunity to waste- he didnt take the spot of anybody posting in this forum I flat guarantee. I truly feel sorry for him because nobody wants their legacy to be one of wasted opportunity and bad choices. Sometimes life is rough and some people arent equipped to handle it correctly. I speak from 40 years of experience. Someday the realization if what he lost will sink in and it will crush his spirit. I wish him nothing but the best.
Well said. Its his life... let him live it how he wants to. All of these people in here talk like they personally know him when in reality, they've probably never met him, nor even seen him in person anywhere.

Did you just compare Jason "marbles in my mouth" Lawrence to JEFF EMIG??? Did Emig ever take a golf cart and crash it into MC's grandpa's RV? Did Fro go around Millville trying to pick up underage girls by the beer tent parties(was my buddies sister, lil sister at that)? Would Jeff Emig ride around the track in practice just to fuck with certain riders? The only good part of J Law was that RD thought it was funnier than hell when I would do my J-Law impression. I don't care that the guy quit, I'm glad. If he were still racing Troy boy might be in jail for killing him, believe me Troy wanted to on multiple occasions. I am obviously partial with being friends with Ryan.... but come on don't ever compare one of the All timers to marbles

I can't , if that is what he is happy doing then why push the issue.. I am sorry I starting this tongue-in-cheek topic. Didn't mean to turn this into a slam J-Law thread. My good friend ran into him years ago with his 2 boys and he chatted for a half hour with them. It was for fun, where is he at and would he be riding a 2s or 4s if he came back. 2 topics that seem to come up all the time.

So the question is when does racing lose it's fun and turn into a job ? Also so does the top pros still get excited to line up knowing the years of doing this is short , while the mid to back of the pack pros see the window closing to rise to the top and hope for the big break and get picked up by a factory team ? Maybe racing turned into a job to J-Law and he is having fun riding as a hobby.

That post started because of the comparison to Jeff Emig, and I posted my opinion on why he could never get a decent ride when he came back.

i am and always will be a j law fan ....point the finger but four are pointing back. i like him because he is 100 times more human than dungey or villopoto. ive been the biggest villopoto fan for years but bottom line guy is a machine , such a machine he doesnt really interact much with fans, does the requirements to receive his checks, has dull pre scripted podium speeches. hell jason would win a moto and talk some shit just like all of us would want to, like the way moto started and used to be. jason would win the moto and take the kiss diana and say fuck ya i won and blah blah blah about some other riders .pure entertainment. i constantly watch j laws instgram cause he post funny shit and good little riding clips. j law stay human and continue to rep for the dirty jerz. #fatdipsbigwhips

Underage girls hanging out by the beer tent? Sounds illegal for them to even be there, sounds like he thought hey since there by the beer tent they can't be that young. Dumb point you attempted to make..

Lots of riders have fucked with other riders in practice is this your first day here?

While I agree he is a fuckin punk, who the fuck cares? 2 out of the 3 things you said are bullshit. The third I could hear some more info on, I've never heard that story. Although I don't want you to tell it, it will be warped and one sided Laughing

And say what you want, but for a year Jason had your boy completely mind fucked beyond belief, how on earth could Jason be winning when he was up partying all night the night before while Ryan was asleep in his bed by 8pm.

Yes we know how the record books ended up, but the point is moot.

J Law hasn't raced at a national event in years. Yet, a thread with his name in the title generates thousands of views in just a few hours.

Love him or hate him, one thing is undeniable: as far as stirring interest goes, J-Law is the reigning champion.

The Beer tent at Millville is also where the music is, there are kids running around all over at that location. Your right lots of riders do fuck around with others but not to the extent of Jason. What was bull shit, Jason ran into an RV with a stolen golf cart at that, everyone knows that. You guys all assume that the Ryan's just train and ride, well they do know how to throw down I will tell you that. As far as mind fucked go's RD crashed himself out of the SX Jason was not faster. You are right the record books are great especially when you consider his two main rivals RV and RD have tens of millions of dollars and between the Ryans its 13 titles and way 120 wins to 0 and 0.

No way, he is rounding out the podium after JS7 and Alessi.

Jason was faster in 2008. He even spotted Ryan a race.

Look it that picture of him. Backwards hat with long hair throwing up signs for Reed's # like he's from Compton. This guy's still worried about being cool when he should be growing up and cleaning up his image. I hate to sound like "you kids get off my lawn guy" because I'm not. I just think it's sad that 99% of the industry thinks he's an immature clown but as long as 15 year olds think he's cool I guess that's all that matters to him.

You speak for 99% of the industry and for J Law himself in one post.

You're an omniscient god!

JS7 and Alessi race each weekend.

It's been years since we've seen J Law take the gate. It's been consistent, JLaw threads garnish more attention quicker than any other topic.

Are you really that naïve to think he's respected in the industry?? LOL!!!

Check out the page views for every J Law thread that pops up. There is no other topic that consistently blows up so rapidly. A lot of it is due to people like you who fall on their swords arguing that J-Law is irrelevant. The irony.

No. I'm smart enough to know that I couldn't possibly speak for the industry. Maybe you should follow suit.

... pretty sure when you call someone out for their "backwards hat with long hair" you are the "kids, get off my lawn!" guy.

And, as for the "respected by the industry" line, the dude is at the 22 compound warming up Reed's bike, I gotta believe Chad doesn't deal with people he doesn't respect... let alone ask them to warm up his bike.

Haha, people are so pissed off about a Jlaw topic (that they are taking the time to post in) that they can't read properly and see that TripleFive was saying Jlaw is the reigning champ of gaining views/interest in topics started on him, not the reigning champion of motocross racing.

Obviously Reed is the 1% that likes the guy, He's at Reeds place today turning laps, WTF does Chad know though right?

I don't wanna start another thread so I will ask it here. Sorry for not reading this whole thread if it's been addressed already but .......My initial thought is.....WTF is Chad doing associating with this guy?

J-Law (no matter what he really is like) has a horrible reputation. I'd think Chad or anyone in Chad's position would try to keep some distance from that reputation. I'd ban him from posting on social media while he was at my house at a minimum. Definitely wouldn't allow him to post pictures posing on my fully outfitted sponsored machine.

But hey, maybe I'm the idiot and the controversy alone is good advertisement? What do I know!? More people "liked" that picture in the first 5 minutes than I know, period. Guess that's why they are rich and famous and I'm not. lol
