Why would Mike want to go win a CAN championship (how rewarding could that possibly be for him?) when he might be able to get a top 5 or better in the US? Makes absolutely zero sense?? Mike only has so many seasons left, why waste one on CAN unless you have no other choice? ala Metcalfe. And don't be so quick to blame PED's, MCR was talking about this way before the drug testing was initiated. Usually there is a logical method to their madness - This time I just don't get it.
I can see him building his mental game up north as well as spa products sales in the colder country.

Really? Cause from the "horses mouth" I was told facciotti took mike out corner 2 of moto 1 n mike came from dead last to 3rd n then moto 2 returned n the favor and raced his race. Also hill stalled his bike, he didn't crash which means mike couldn't of been more then 8 seconds down from his first turn take out. I mean crash. Wink

Hmmmmm, interesting. It would appear the only part of a horses anatomy that was involved in this post, would be the part at the utmost extreme opposite end of said horse. I've taken the liberty of making the necessary corrections, so you'll at least APPEAR remotely educated, in basic English, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

Really? From what I heard from "the horses mouth", Faciotti took Mike out in the second corner of the first moto, and Mike came from dead last to third place. In the second moto, Mike returned the favour, and raced his race. Also, Hill stalled his bike, he didn't crash, which means Mike couldn't have been down more than 8 seconds from his first turn take out.

Feel free to take a screen shot of this, for future reference. Also, I see burgers and fries in your future, once you come to the realization that it's "over". LOT'S of burgers and fries. Wink
If you are going to school someone on grammar and spelling you should know that favor is the correct spelling. Also, you shouldn't follow it up with your next post showing you don't know the difference between your and you're.

Let me guess, you're American?

Incorrect, BTW. It's spelled "favour"...

I spelled it correctly, and I hit the "re", I thought, to spell "you're". The contracted from of "you are", as opposed to" your", which shows possession. I'm aware of the difference, I failed to spell check, never trust an electronic device to follow through, especially when berating someone else. Not that Jeff would know the difference. Tongue

Colt won't win the title, now I guess I'll see if I'm wrong on that, but you know I'm probably right. besides we know your prediction was WRONG!

wow. Pinch

Thanks for that. I fully realized my prediction was wrong. But you pointing it out makes me even wronger, I guess......Huh

I give FULL props to Mike, he had a great race, I really thought Colton would keep him behind him.

**edited out after I realized its uncool for me to go off and start calling names to a very troubled young man. My apologies to Jeff.

I agree. What does Mike have to prove in the States on a non-factory bike? Nothing.

He didn't but he will. I think mike is the faster of the two down south, colt will be better up north.

Faster riders than mike have come up here, not many have won titles.

Just remember....Mike is up there on a non-factory bike. If he can finish 2nd overall in the States without factory support I don't think he is going to have much trouble pulling out a Canadian National Championship.

I think it would be difficult for the team to make more money unless they are getting paid from the series and have added Canadian sponsors. Not sure if their contracts with their American sponsors continue either. I also see a potential issue with sponsors for next year in the states. Would you invest in a team that may or may not be here for both series or invest in a team that you know would get your company name out in front of fans for the entire year?

Now MA might make more purse money but I would assume the team revised his bonus structure for wins and podiums. So this might be a wash. But I have no idea of the details.

Not sure if Tony's decision is for MA or the team. Appears to be for MA.
I am a MA fan. I believe he has a great shot at winning it and hope he does.

I would have to argue the "faster riders" have come up here point, unless you consider Metty faster than Mike. I'm on the fence there, depending on the track. Alessi has been a top 3-5 American outdoor guy for 9-10 years now, finishing 2nd in points only 2 years ago. He has won nationals in both classes. I don't know of any full time Canadian series riders (past or present) that can claim those accomplishments.

I was thinking along the lines of stingray or Damon Huffman, but it's pretty subjective, maybe I shouldn't put those two in front from an outdoors standpoint.

There's just been plenty of fast riders come up and be surprised at how fast Canadians are on home soil.
