2016 REDBULL | FIM Supercross Series schedule extended into Summer with new rounds added in UK, France, Holland, Spain, Russia, Australia, Japan, Taiwan,

REDBULL steps up with a guaranteed 1 million dollar pro purse and every round.

Additionally, a 1 million dollar appearance money to be paid out at every round. The 1 million dollars to be split evenly between each team.

Could or would Redbull take its Sports Power Broker event creation machine to the next level by taking the Supercross Series world wide? Extend the Supercross series past Spring and into late Summer?

TV Rights - Redbull Teams up with Euro Sports with BBC for European and UK rounds, an so on and so forth for the other countries.

Is Feld Entertainment ever gonna take SX beyond the USA?

Damn, a million dollar pro purse? That's crazy. The AMA Supercross pro purse is like $66,000 a race. Am I reading this wrong?

Didn't they try this 10 years ago? You know, that World Championship thing that Heath Voss won in 2004 because he was the only top rider to show up for the mandatory European rounds? My understanding is that Supercross isn't very popular in Europe, and they can't justify sending teams halfway across the world for a championship that's mostly made up of Americans anyways.

I would be against it as it would screw up outdoor motocross, which is the best racing anyway. No way I ever pick supercross over motocross. Sorry my passion runs deep into our roots. Now, if they were to get the 1 million purse for the outdoors that'd be cool.

Supercross only exists because it is in the winter months when a lot of the country cannot ride. If they held SX in the summer it would be a baron wasteland cause ACTUAL racers will be at the races racing instead of watching.

This would be a great idea for MX though, but then again, the people who are trying to make the money don't actually care about racing they just care about their pockets so this will never happen. Posers don't attend races they have to watch from a lawnchair or blanket in the heat of summer without someone delivering them beer for $20 so not as much money to be made.
