Ever since i got pillow top grips i have been getting uncontrollable umpump which resulted in a pretty nice crash. Can someone maybe lead me in a new direction for grips? Half waffle, diamond, full waffle, anything ?

I for one have experienced a reduced amount of arm pump using pillow tops. I love the feel of them. Did you move your bar position or lever position? That could lead to arm fatigue more so than grip change

I have tried them all and also struggle with arm pump. I found I really like the thin half waffle grips and then tryed the Renthal Kevlar taped and really liked those! by far the best grips ive ever had. They reduced my arm pump and last forever. They are super soft and sticky without being thick like the pillow tops. Pillow tops and tag rebounds feel like im trying to hold onto corn cobs and always gave me the worst arm pump. Try the Renthal kevlar tapers. (taper is the thinner 'tapered version")

one other thing to try is when you install them make sure they are rotated forward enough so when riding the waffle only makes contact with your 2nd knuckle or a little less. I found this is more comfortable then having the waffle too far up.

Do you have a photo of your set up? Just to use as a reference

They seem to be bigger in diameter. I dont get arm pump more or less with them. It seems that I have more feel with a half waffle or even a smooth grip. I always revert back to a renthal soft half waffle. They dont last long but they sure are tacky and feel great.

Ive tried almost every brand and type of grip and i agree with the added arm pump with the Pillow Tops and the Rebounds, The rebounds have the street creed but not much else. The best ones that I've found for comfort are the Pro Grip 788 triple compound grips, I know they are a little European but next time give em i go, might not like em but I thought that a set of Scott full waffle's were the best until I went for a lap with em, threw them straight in the bin at the servo.

I use the Pro Taper Synergy Grip. The grip has a soft diamond surface over a firm base. My hands are not as durable as they were 20 years ago & the diamond pattern does not cause blisters as easily for me. They also have a smaller diameter...which I prefer-the smaller grip doesn't interfere with my arthritis as bad. The Pro Taper part # for them is 02-4800 if you want to Google them.

This is my set up. I like them twisted forward a little farther than normal. works great for me and seems to help arm pump.
