Jeremy, Ricky, and Ryan are within percentage points of each other, taking SX titles with every 10 race wins (for Ricky, even less). Chad and James sit at the other extreme, requiring more than twice the number of race wins to accomplish the same task. Combined with 16 total championships (MC, RC, RV) to 4 (JS and CR), the gap widens.
James and Chad have tremendous pedigrees, and Mr. Stewart deserves a spot on the Mt. Rushmore of Racers. The same cannot be said for their spot on the greatest SX champions list. Each had weaknesses exposed by their more savvy competitors, and while they both brought excitement to the series, they succeeded only when RC or RV we're not at the gate.
2nd All time. (2nd in combined titles)
Numbers are pretty easy to back that up.
Here you go.
Record books record the results.
History books record the stories.
Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your point of view, there aren't really history books for moto.
Guess you forgot about 2009 when James had 11 wins and the C'ship against RV!
Pit Row
When you're one of many going 10, starts are critical, and mistakes are severely punished. The pressure goes way up, whether you're waiting for the gate to drop or you've got James Stewart all over your ass. I'm surprised RV is still a redhead.
It's not any more impressive than being head and shoulders above your competitors, but it's not really any less.
Either way, it's not my history or my facts. Those are just what they are. If anyone skews events around here buddy, it's you.
actual results mean nothing to him, only what could have been..
he skewed his dumb ass bet with huck to rope in suckers to help him pay off his loss..
who the fuck makes a gambling bet then accepts charity from others to pay it off for him...
cat like that just oozing with integrity..
They're both awesome in their own ways
This is not a Stewart bashing-session, just a review of the facts. Yes, James had some unfortunate issues this season, just as every racer has unexpected events try and derail their seasons. Minimizing bad situations plays just as big a role as maximizing opportunities. The mental aspect of racing can take its toll on the unprepared, and we've seen ludicrously fast riders fall victim to the sport's brutal pace and schedule. It's what separates champions from also-rans.
Does anyone believe your hyperbole at any rate?
