But I'll tell ya.....I'm going to be extremely bummed if we don't see James on the gate at GH. Hopefully that was just a stinger and will feel better in a few days.
Also.....to me....it looks like these young pups are coming alive again. Meaning Tomac and Roczen. Both looked solid!
And it brought a tear to my eye seeing Josh do so well. That dude surprises the hell out of me. Awesome job Josh!
So who do you choose to believe.
Either way, I think this better a better discussion than fan boys insulting each other...May be just me though.
And on your point about guys saying " I'm going to race the nationals.....then pull out a week later ".....
Please give us an example. Because I don't remember ever seeing this before.
James in 11 even was testing outdoors "planning to race" a few weeks beforehand and never did. Granted, he wasn't on a team that traditionally ran outdoors..but it still happened.
Alternatively, is the state of moto journalism such that these main outlets get their info on the 4x SX champ from this forum?
Him racing the nationals.....I've stayed neutral because I couldn't get a strait answer. And on my first point.....weather anyone believes me or not I don't really care. But I was thinking that the knee.....would of been the main reason he wasn't going to race this summer.
And before you call bullshit on it......how did James start to look a few weeks after he tore his ACL? Hard to see it on the bike when a dude is in some pain. And by no means am I saying that's what's wrong with RV.
Pit Row
From DC:
"But even as RV was winning and closing in on that milestone title, I’m hearing and seeing that he may not be 100 percent, and he has a knee situation that may need correction as soon as the series-ending Las Vegas Supercross happens. Needless to say, I really, truly hope that’s not the case".
Maybe it was just the knee all along and he feels good enough about it now to race and everything else was false rumors. We really don't know.
I'm just not convinced. I'm sure more will come out over the next week.
You don't have to believe me.......but I think he's going out to ride the nationals the best he can. To either try to win it.....or until his knee explodes.
Like I said.....I do not give one fuck who believes me on this. As long as that knee stays healthy , he should have a good chance at the title.
I know of very few pro MXers who don't have some ailment, big or small. Some bother them enough that it costs them speed, some don't. RV's winning, and that can buy a lot of Advil and athletic tape. Or push him to hold off on getting something fixed. He wouldn't be the first, and certainly won't be the last to ride through injuries.
