What would happen if Villopoto issued a press-release interview that said..."I'm totally burned out on this shit. I have had no real childhood, teenage years or even been able to really enjoy my life as a young man...got a pretty wife, got lots of money, I can still walk without crutches...but I can't enjoy any of that. I've done it all, I've won it all...and I'm just over it, you know? I'm tired of the training, tired of the hours, tired of having no time for myself or with my family, tired of all the pressure, tired of the injuries, and tired of Steve Matthes.I'm backing out with four championships in a row, and nobody can say shit! I won them all fair and square, and beat all comers. Now I'm going home, jumping in the sack with the wife and I'm gonna make a baby...and enjoy what I've worked my butt off on for all these years. Oh...and to the Vitard Fanboys, thanks for the nut hugging...but "see ya".

He won Millville also.

This year Villopoto has atleast 2 wins whit his "Injured knee". So if he lines up at GH and loses, and blames the knee, i'll lost all my respect to him.

I think the Outdoor Nationals are harder on the knees than Supercross. So if RV races GH and doesn't win, then blames his knee, I would tend to believe him. Also, not every knee injury and pain is the same.
I think that in mx, knee wasn't reason why stewart didn't do well, that's why i didn't mention it. I gotta agree whit you that mx is harder than sx. Only time will tell will rv ride at GH..

This debate came up what?.....2 years ago? James himself even said it wasn't the damn cameraman! He since changed his thoughts on the matter after just about every single person in the industry told him he was full of it. He went down in a long rutted out strait away that had claimed like 10+ other riders that day....and there is no shame in that. There is however shame in saying a god damn camera man made you wreck.....when the dude was 400' up the damn track.

Think about it Chip. You're in the heat of the moment , in the middle of the race and you have other bikes , bodies , obstacles , flags waving , pit boards , ect you have to look for......you really think a camera man that far up the track is going to distract you? Haha.....c'mon man! Really? Crap.....in all my years of racing , I wish I had that as my excuse after I wrecked.

400 feet, what a frikkin idiot.

So Stewart was in the air for just short of 400 feet huh?
When Stewart fucking landed, I said he was not 400ft, from him. When he jumped it was a blind jump & was in the air and shift come fast at those speeds. So try and tell me when landed and the fucking dude is still on the track that cant break is concentration? You guys act like he had to time to stop and think things over.

So it's ok for a fucking camara man to cut the track and take pictures of racers comming at him? James said he had to move over I'm the air to not hit him. Then got that rut. Did he not say that? I would bet money if it was your favorite rider that it hsppen to, you would blame the camara man. Yes I know you will say different when you respond, but that easy to say right now.

First you tell Jeffro what he'd do in a situation then tell him if he responds differently it is because it is easy for him to say then. I don't want to waste anymore of my time on this but had to tell you posts like yours IMHO are not cool. State your opinion like everyone else but don't tell jeffro503 or any of us what we are thinking....please.

Juss,
Not trying to be a dick but go back and watch the video again. You tube James Stewart crash at Lakewood. The very first one has James coming right at your view. By the time James lands the camerman is off the track. He didnt change his line in the air, he takes off and lands in a straight line. Im not arguing that it may have broken his concentration but these guys have riders crash on the track all the time in front of or around them. Had he jumped off the track, crashed as soon as he landed or something like that, I would give it to him that the cameraman made him crash. But.....50+ feet up the track and 3 seconds after he passed the guy and crashed, not so much.

The whole thing is a moot point anyway. If it happened to RV or Dungey, their fans would be saying the same thing. I just hope everyone is on the line at GH. If RV is done because he's over it, good for him! Same thing for James. If he goes out and wins it and walks away, good for him. Or if he's just over it and walks away, thats cool too! These guys are baddasses, 2 of the best I've seen in my lifetime. I'm just happy I got to watch their entire careers and what they've accomplished. They both can walk away with their health and their heads held high!

I think people look at this issue at the speed they circulate the track, and not the warp speed these top riders are going. They are used to seeing crashing riders and bikes all the time, not some random dude running across the track that close. I think a real speed go pro video might change a few of the doubters minds. James has had all kinds of strange things happen to him at the track from fans, including having things thrown at him, he might be slightly more concerned with this situation than another rider would be. I try to take these riders on their word, not that they would go to their team and lie. Yes, a couple weeks later, he said he would just take the blame, but that was after a bunch of so called fans on social media whining and crying saying it had no affect on him, which strikes me as strange because in reality they don't know for sure.
No harm to agree to disagree though.

Better luck fishing next time Pond Scum.

On the Stewart Denver track incident who really cares at this point plus everyone is entitled to their take on the incident.

The one thing I know for sure is I sure hope RV lines up at GH.

Look....I know the 400' was an exaggeration. But if you do watch the crash video of that very instant , it's at least a good 150' up the track. But honestly.......the camera guy is far enough up the track , I'm surprised James even saw him.

And Chip ( first off....sorry for coming off on you like an ass....the board got the best of me.)

The Stewart crash there got blown out of proportion. The section of the track claimed a LOT of riders that day. When James first mentioned the Camera guy , a lot of people called BS on it. I think Matthes brought it up on his show and others that chimed in said that a camera guy that far up the track shouldn't of broken anyone's concentration. A couple weeks later....in another interview , James said it was basically just a mistake on " His own part ". Did the camera guy surprise him a little?.....yeah I think he did......but what the media brought up was " In a MX race , that should be the least of your worries ".......meaning there are so many other distractions going on.

I dunno. I know if RD had been leading that moto and went down with that excuse......some of the Stewart fans would of torn him apart. Just as the RD and RV fan's tore James apart for it. Bottom line , it sucked that it happened because James was on a role.
