Riders Worth

With all the talk of RV's plans somewhere I read that he has enough cash to sale into the sunset. I googled various riders including him and found he is worth the least out of RD, CR, and JS. Only 4million net worth. Surprisingly Reed had a net worth of 60million! How is this calculated? If RV won 2.2 in just win bonus this year he must have a ton of worth. JS was 18million I believe and RD 6. I would of thought RV and JS would be closer and not see Reed worth so much! And where did Reed make it all? San Manuel, I guess is 4 million enough to retire on in your late 20's? Correct investing will help. But seems like a stretch.

RC, JS and Reed were lucky enough to do much of their racing when the economy was better. Chad made very good investments in Australia. Those sites are not always accurate.

That was my thought they were inaccurate, I thought James at one point was making 10-12 Million a year! I would also believe RV is worth more than Dungey!

I wouldn't trust these numbers. Also, net worth doesn't necessarily mean investable assets that can generate income. Your home is calculated in your net worth. What if their entire networth is invested in a land deal that generates zero income? An old rule of thumb is take no more than 4% off your investments and you will not deplete your assets before you die.

I only know what I have read on the internet, but with that said...Reed invested in an Australian company years ago, maybe a telecomunications company? Apparently it has done really well. Which could explain his networth.

2011

with his own team, the 2012 numbers are dropping, but 3 mil isn't bad.

Reed has been a fixture on the box of the premier class since 2003. And he claims to have made some really good investments.

Imagine the title money of 2004, 2008, and we know the 2 or 3 million for the 2009 outdoor title alone.

The Reed one is silly. RC is the highest from everything I have seen and heard.

Them there #'s is funny!

Chad has some revenue he generates in Oz & I get the feeling it's reported in the "public domain"; and, that's on-top of his decade of race-earnings.

As for RV being worth what's reported? I'm guessing he's got 1 year, alone, where he's made that much...so, if you start adding up the last 7-8 years? He's got to be doin' a bit better than what you're seein' here.

This stuff cracks me up...

RV's still gotta be receiving his cheques for sweeping the first monster cup isnt he? I though he took the 200k for 5 years deal or am i wrong?

I wouldnt be too worried about the finiancial security of the RV's CR's, RC's and JS's of this world, im sure they'll be alright.

Stewart could have been close to RC if he stayed with JGR. Now RV is in a same ballpark. I could be wrong.

Remember it's gross income... Take away expenses and 30% taxes for floridians (obviously they all have, i hope, retirement plans, where they havent paid taxes on but will when they take it out. Small taxable income, less than 50k/year, is 15% and it then goes up quick)... I used to spend $150k/year on my credit card flying coach every weekend + everything else to go racing... Expenses can be high with private planes, multiple private tracks etc... It's a write off but you still have to pay money on the remaining income. RC has to be worth the most of all. $60mil for Reedy? Dunno who reported that number, but he needs to stop crack...

From what I understand Stewart runs everything through JSEntertainment. Saves some tax money.

Everyone does bro... At the end of the day, you'll have to pay Uncle Sam... Now or when you're 50, 60 or 70... I know about it. I live off the money I saved and my retirement plans...

That's ridiculous expensive if it's what you paid when riding for Yamaha or Suzuki. They wont pay for travels? But understandable when being a privateer.

I know traveling/living and paying entry fees is expensive what ever individual sport. Have friends that stuggled to survive trying to make the cut on the PGA tour. When the newspapers wrote about the price money, everyone thought they where living the dream. Before you sign sponsor contracts and make a name for yourself, most of the money went to maintain the tour license. Sorry for going off the subject.

No other pro athlete has to pay for that shit, moto guys getting the shaft once again....
