Well this is not California, as far as tracks are concerned, but we have plenty. White sands raceway is where I go mainly because its prepped and the dirt is great. They practice tuesday and thurdsay nights and race whenever. We have a pretty good race series that includes about 5 tracks, but you have to drive a little to get to them. Abbott Sports complex is in lincoln and its a great track but not prepped real well. Otherwise get to know people and there are lots of little private tracks and trees to ride. I personally like to pay more for a prepped track so I head down to Oklahoma City, Denver, Kansas city, wherever to moto. After 30 years of riding and racing i have no use for a baked dry, blue groove, cloddy piece of shit. No dust and traction is where its at for me now.

Abbott MX Park is basically in the Lincoln city limits. Visit www.abbottmx.com or search Abbott Motocross Park on Facebook. Will receive mixed opinions on the dirt but lately track prep has been awesome.

Welcome to the Midwest. This four-state area has a lot of moto history, just not so much these days.

Millville is your local national track.
Superior track prep, regardless of the weather is a strongpoint.
They have a full schedule of amateur races Spring through Fall, nice folks running the place, and friendly racers.
Nice camping and the entire area is beautiful, too.

vetmxr made some good points.

Have fun!

Abbott is a good track for sure. Its always a good time when its prepped $20 and not to bad when non prepped $12. Never been to white sands but my friends say its really awesome.

Im sure I can hook you up with some riding, White Sands is good, Abbott is so so with prep but there are a lot of private tracks and hare scramble/ enduro trails.... not much in Lincoln though. Im sure there is a few, one bad ass place comes to mind but other than that for private tracks and others your best bet is in Iowa. Get at me

Riverside MX is not to far from you in Iowa. They dont have alot of practices but we never miss one when they do. The track will break down a little late in the day, but its pretty good.

Yeah Iowa has quite a few decent places to ride and race, I have'nt been there since the farm near des moines shut down. Winterset Iowa's track is really cool but I have'nt been there since Tony Wenk stopped running it. But in its day it was as good as it got. You may have to drive a while, but we have a fair amount of riding - racing around here. If you don't mind driving there are lots of places to moto.
