There was a press release earlier in the year when he signed. I'll throw something interesting I heard over the weekend though, Lanza (Valli) may not be involved now. Just a factory Yamaha effort (Yamaha was already taking care of the bike anyways with an in-house engine, and Factory KYB taking care of suspension duties).

At the beginning of the year, JA17 said that he was finally glad to be back on KTM. Watching his video's he seems to be more at home on the bike better than anyone other than maybe Langston back in 01. He just flows and punishes the track more than anyone. Its like he was born on that bike. So stoked for him!!!

CP's riding style is so fluid, it looks effortless to him. I'm not really a fan of his, but you can't not admire his riding.

When CP is out of the radar like he is right now, that is when he is hungry & when he is at his best level.

A CP hungry can do some damage. With all the yami back up, I really hope they put this new yam upfront !

The guy is smooth. During those laps he was carrying a burger and fries on the tank and texted the team about bike settings.

Wouldn't be to surprised... US Factory Yamaha seems happy to be out in the dirt again !

I just hope he is at the gate on race day in Glen Helen. I wouldn't be THAT surprised if he didn't show up (but it would be a bummer).

It always depends on which CP you will get at the gate. If he's fully motivated, then he could be a sleeper for the championship, otherwise he'll do some rounds and quit ...

EDIT: More CP news in Vitals own pit bits

"See the mousse in the bag? Those have been available to Pirelli's GP riders, and the BTO Sports/KTM and Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX riders here (Christophe Pourcel will also use them this summer), but they may be available here in the states later this year. Previous version had a shelf life that made them work well for racing, but not so well in a dealer setting. But they've developed a new injection-molded version that lasts longer. Credit: GuyB"

Matthes told a funny story on Pulp last night. He said that someone at the races told him that Pourcel was smoking Bagget out at one of the tracks while they were out testing and practicing for outdoors. But when Matthes asked Bones from Pro Circuit about it Bones told him that they had not seen Pourcel at any the tracks they had been riding at.

Poucel looks smooth, but Anderson carries so much more speed, everywhere I could see, than the rest. He's going to have tons of momentum from the SX series going into the outdoors!
