Update: 3/25/2014: Pala Raceway is still closed for the time being. We are working on a solution and hope to be open soon. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

When we have a re-opening date we will let everyone know.

Yup, they had an issue parts breaking/watering system and now it has turned into "closed until further notice".
Hope the bigger issues get resolved asap!!

As long as Glen Helen is open and REM runs on Saturdays 40 times a year life is still good.

They started with saying that there was a broken pump and they didn't have water.
Then it went to....We are waiting on parts. We will be open as soon as they get here.
Now it seems to be...We are working to resolve some issues and will be open asap.
Hopefully, they will reopen. The area just lost Elsinore and Pala is the biggest draw in the area. If they close, the rest of the tracks are going to be packed.

We had a track get closed here on Indian land over a Lawsuit , that is why I'm asking if anyone knows the issue.

Last I heard they had a transformer that went bad. That's what powers the water pump.

Water issue has been fixed. Pala alluded to something else and that 'hopefully it will be resolved soon'

The parts only took a few days and were replaced. There is another issue that they didn't care to divulge at this point anyway. Hope it all works out for them (us)!

I heard from a bird it will just a few more days and they will be open. They know all the rumors that are out there and will not respond to them and thats their choice. Anything broken can be fixed and I am not talking about pumps. Pala is to good to lose and the local riders have offered any help they can to get it back open. Next week it will be old news.

They aren't pulling down nearly what they were. The monthly check has been getting smaller and smaller. In fact they kicked a bunch of tribe members out recently. How do I know this? I have friends who are/were members. As for the other problems, I don't have any reliable info. It is probably the same BS that most have heard and isn't worth posting. I wish them well and hope they get back going. Kurt and the rest are all cool people.

Update: 3/27/2014: Pala Raceway is still closed to the public for right now. We are working on getting back open. To go along with our electrical problem, there was a new insurance policy demanded to be put in place before the Raceway can reopen to the public. Two of three policies are currently in place; a third policy had fundamental language changes requested before approval. So the process had to be restarted and had to go back through the underwriting process, which unfortunately takes time. Our legal and insurance team are working on it, and trying to get you guys back riding at Pala Raceway as soon as we can.

Not going to be happy if Pala closes!

People consider SoCal to be the mecca of motocross but it's turning into nothing but a series of lame "Vet" tracks with mellow tabletops, a couple hundred yards before any jump and MAYBE some single-to-tabletop jumps......B.S.!!!!!!!

Pala has been the only track in SoCal to maintain something worthy of a modern bike and a rider with a modicum of skill.

At the very least can Pala Raceway start influencing Milestone to build a decent track again???

I just moved about 15 miles from there and it kills me it's closed. Would be so sweet to load the bike up and ride after work

I used to live a half hour away from there. I hope they get it sorted out. That place was really cool.

I hear done and the tribe has zero interest in it coming back. That rent doesn't mean shit in the grand scheme of things but the noise and dust does. This is from a guy who's wife's family are in the tribe.
