Barcia rumors going to Gibbs is only making Cole Seelys stock go up. Barcia, a renowned good starter, cant get a start on the Honda yet Cole Seely doesn't have a problem getting starts, running up front in a most stylish manner.

So you think Seely is better at factory Honda than Barcia but does his lack of outdoor (11th overall) speed warrant a position if some of you think he is better than Barcia (450 MX 3rd o/a 2013). I don't think Honda will want to see there bike outdoors with Seely at the controls fighting his 2013 11th o/a place (250). Also do Honda take another gamble on Trey as lets face it he is off the bike more than he is on it. Maybe Trey leaves or go's elsewhere? No I'm not hating on Trey i think he's a great ambassador for the sport but as Weege said the only loyalty in mx is the podium and to get them you first must be on the grid. Do they demand Eli pits under there rig?
There bike must be terrible. Matthes commented on a show a couple of weeks ago about Reedy trying out all the brands and that he still has the 08 CRF450 and Reed commented that he guarantees that 08 bike is better than the bike there got now. I think Honda are in a world of hurt next year in my opinion
I doubt Trey leaves.

And as much as Seely is killing it I bet Honda is also wanting to sign his contract sometime after outdoors. For his bank accounts sake he needs to do well outdoors this year.

i just believe that he cannot beat the present top guys, and i think the new and upcoming crop will have him handled. plus hes a loose cannon.

jgr will gain a 3-6th guy....they already have it or can get it for a lot cheaper than barcia.

I'll bet Coy & Coach will make him calm that BamBam crap down in a hurry if he signs with them. They don't seem to be a bunch that goes for that stuff from a rider.

I think they really missed out when Eli was available end of last season. Good face to have on your brand and absolutely a machine outdoors. Still waiting for him to show what he can do on big bike indoors but i think best stuff still ahead for him.

With barcia you get your name attached to "bam-bam" and poor decisions. His history is full of contact and bumpercar racing IMO, not speed. I'm just a bench racer tho, past pro mechanic who is familiar with some of the inside happenings. I don't sign a big paycheck for a rider so my opinion is just that...an opinion. Tongue

Really man, who or what have they hired in the past with the rep for taking riders out like Barcia? Grant? Hardly. Stewart? nope. Brayton? wrong again! Millsaps? Nooooo...

And yeah, it's Coy's team & Daddy's money...but if you don't think Coach Gibbs has some input as to how the team is repped you're fooling yourself. He didn't get where he is by being a complete dumbass.

I think it would be a great move for Barcia to go to JGR, a nice change for him. As it sounds like Team Honda has a lot of bugs to figure out on the new gen. CRF450.

I like the brayton barcia jgr team idea for next year. I also do not believe honda will cry over barcia leaving and taking the bam bam out from under their tent. Honda needs to make some tweaks and I hope they can take a step forward like yamaha did this year with their 450. jgr has a much better ride now then when stewert was there.

Is he not better than Brayton and Grant? Good addition to jgr if you ask me. He gets more camera time than those two as well.

You made my point...

As for JS, he has taken more guys out than Charlie Sheen has had porn girlfriends ..Really man...he should have had his ass
kicked years ago.

And yeah, it's Coy's team & Daddy's money...but if you don't think Coach Gibbs has some input as to how the team is repped you're fooling yourself. He didn't get where he is by being a complete dumbass.

Ask yourself this question..If Coy was not Gibbs son would he still have a Job as manager with the record and the
results? that's the reality ...

Speaking of Barcia, what took place between him and Short at Detroit? Didn't look like a friendly conversation

According to Short on Pulp MX monday night Barcia stopped to see if they were good since they banged a bit. Short also said said he and Barcia are buddies. Probably spent a bit of time together during Shortys Honda days.

I rode a 14 450, I thought that at my level of riding, I would never feel the front end issue you hear about....I did. In about the second corner I could see what people talked about (I bleed blue by the way) After riding it for a while, I started to get use to the front end and could actually do turns better on it than my 09 YZ450. Its weird but it seems you can corner like a 2 stroke on it.

As for the motor, its a beast. fastest 450 stock I have ridden and I would be looking to tame it down for my old butt. Front brakes on the bike I rode where also off the chart. Almost endo'd numerous times, front brakes where incredible.

All in all I thought it was a great bike, but you would have to ride it for a day and then start to change your style for the lighter front end.

I have never rode a 10-13 to compare it too.
Thats interesting what you said about the front end and it might hold somewhat true on the previous gen 10-13 bike as well… .per reeds comments about the way the japanese are desigining bikes now to be so front end heavy it seems the kawi and yamaha have a lighter more balanced front to rear and like you said, making it handle more like a 2 stroke with riders needing to steer with the rear wheel. Is it possible over the years that riders have gotten so used to front ends getting progressively heavier that when a bike comes out that has a balanced feel similar to what a 2 stroke had they think something is wrong with the handling because they've forgotten how a 2 stroke used to feel? Granted a 2 vs 4 stroke will have a different feel when making the front end lighter feeling but its the same idea right? Maybe thats been yamahas problem the whole time to some degree and they havent been able to convey that info correctly to riders or riding styles have adapted to heavy front ends… .I went back to a 2 stroke and im never going back to a 4 stroke because I have so much more fun on my 2 stroke (06 RM250) than any 450 I ever rode even when I thought they were good… .for me it just suits my style better and I feel I have more freedong in how the bike handles

People keep talking about the beloved 08 honda… .if I were honda I may consider replicating the 08 and giving it a completely fresh (masked or modern) look and using that as a new model? That'll never happen but logically it makes sense

Yamaha is all new and reportedly fixed… the honda has been claimed by riders like reed to be bad since last year when it was all new so there might be a correlation there with the "all new bike" stigma… kind of like everyone bashing the 09 honda right?
