Anyone care to elaborate on why Jace Owen was missing in Detroit? By the sounds of it, it wasn't just a minor injury that kept him from racing in Detroit.......

Ya, that was pretty interesting when Matthes mentioned it on last night's show. Definitely seemed like something was fishy that he couldn't share.

Matthes knew something about it but didn't care to say any specifics....some type of team falling out?

Has zero to do with it I'm sure, but I found it interesting a couple weeks back that some ClubMX bikes were sporting the RaceTech suspension decals (which I thought was a team sponsor) but Jace's (and maybe another one) actually had JGR decals on the forks....hmmmm

Nothing to do with this. Friese is still using RT and RT is still supporting the team. JGR is tight with the team as well as they are just down the road from eachother, and AJ and Jace are able to ride at the JGR track and test with JGR as their riders, so with them being on the east and RT being based on the west coast it made sense for them to make the switch. No hard feelings on any side about it, and we're stoked with the results the whole team has been getting. Jace might be being a bit hard on himself, he's a rookie and a privateer.

Bringing up an old thread BUT anymore word on why the 401 missed again this weekend? Found it odd to see video of him practicing outdoors (MX) yesterday at ClubMX.....if he is hurt forcing him to miss SX then why be practicing outdoor MX?

Jace had to drop back and punt, so to speak. He dislocated his shoulder on press day just before Atlanta. Was dealing with that and sever arm pump. Now he's healed up and has been working on some new riding techniques. Probably still won't ride St. Louis but will race the new NJ SX round. And be ready for outdoors.
