Damn that is close awesome effort by both riders

Does anyone have any better pictures of this finish? I would love to have a new computer desktop picture of Ryan launching the finish. I have not seen anything of it on the net.

Autumn is doing great just had another surgery on her femur a week ago and is already back to school and hopes to be back to work this week. Thanks for asking she is one tough little girl.

Here is a better link for the LCQ finish, man I would love to have a picture of that finish if anyone finds one.

Thanks,
Jeff Zimmer

That was such great finish, both riders deserved to make it to the main on a finish that close, after battling on the last lap of
an LCQ at Daytona. Instead of voting on goofy crap from the host let the fans decide if both should get in after a finish that close. That's how you define, The Race Is Not Over Till You Cross The Line. Ater showing my two boys the earlier post of Ryan's burns and then going to work using a jack hammer, he now has some huge fans from West Virginia.

We were hanging out in the Baumerts pits all day since we've been friends for years but I have to give Ryan some props that was one of the most exciting races of the year so far.

Here's three from the heat race in Daytona. Not sure where Ryan's off to at this point.

When he came out of that last corner my son said "Dad Ryan is going to hold it wide open" and he did. It was an awesome fight to the finish and we were going crazy.

Guy B those are some good pics of Ryan's bike getting trashed. Felt bad for Kyle he had nowhere to go. Still salvaged an 11th in the main. Baumert and Ryan had an awesome race in the LCQ, very clean all the way to the checkers and then some. Maybe Ryan should try some of the distance jumping? I still have a few more hours left to get his bike back together for Detroit. We worked on it until 12:30 last night and still not done. Ryan should be home from work soon and we will get back at it. This is a lot of work but it has really helped our relationship and we are closer than ever which why I started this with him so long ago.

You have a great kid, my son and I met Ryan a few times while he was practicing at North Fl, always polite and would BS with us about racing and how he was doing etc.....been fans ever since, always rooting for him to make the night show in SX and do well outdoors and get some points......good luck to your family!

Ryan actually crashed, but did not get hurt. After that he was tired and had arm pump real bad. He is definitely not in as good of shape as most of the other riders but is doing the best he can. We drove back to NC Saturday night got home around 9am Sunday and were both back to work this morning .Then I slept until noon and drove to Myrtle Beach SC to watch my youngest daughter win a national championship at her cheer competition. She was very happy I made it because she was not expecting it. Those cheer parents are crazy into their kids, I was blown away. I thought I was in an episode of Toddlers and tiarras, I had never been exposed to that kind of craziness WOW. I personally can't wait for the 3 week break coming up, I am exhausted. Thanks for all of the support and praise for Ryan it really means a lot, he is doing the best he can with what he has to work with and I am proud of him, all of my children for that matter.

I remember him at Detroit, the no graphics and such. Didn't he get a great start in the main? Like a second place start? Good for you guys. Seems people are starting to notice.

He pulled the holeshot in his heat race and was second in the main but got pushed into the tuff blocks on the start. It has been so amazing the people that have been talking about Ryan this year. We are so appreciative of everyones support. We have had offers to help Ryan get to Vegas and New York. We are so greatful and blessed. Ryan's van almost did not make it home from Detiot amd we have already offered a trailer to use this weekend fir Toronto so we can drive something else. Truly amazing the people who are helping us get this season done. I am very thankful for everything.
