I had just purchased the new Alpinestars Bionic from BTO.

Well went riding the other week and forgot to pack it, wish I did, had a good swap and whacked my back.

After putting it on when I was home, saw and sorry, where it hit, the lower right of my back, it wouldn't have protected it.

So, asked BTO to take it back and got the Titan. As the pics above it has lower coverage on the back, good for taller guys like me too.

Also, I think it kinda fits a little better for me, tho that is totally subjective. I'm not svelte at the moment, but it feels a little more streamlined. I still look like a gridiron player in my jersey but I feel better now!

Sorry I don't wear a neck brace so I can't give you a comparison.

Here is what the Leatt 5.5 Pro looks like under a jersey. Not so bulky to me and really fits good.

Tape over the nipples goes waaayy back to the old school days. Pomeroy was the first one I saw with tape. Silver duct tape, of course. Wink

That thing cracks me up. The Leatt is in it's own category here. En1621-2 Level 2 Impact Tested and Approved. Fox and Troy Lee, ya, not so much..

I just took this [see picture below] plastic shoulder piece off. Once I got that plastic shoulder piece off you just have to run it through the sewing machine to reconnect the two pieces of foam together. Now I can wear it under my jersey and haven't had a problem with any neckbraces I've run as it is only that thin foam that runs over your shoulders. If you're interested, I can take some pics of mine when I get home and post them up. I've been running mine like that for probably 3 years.



i did a similiar thing with mine i continued to use the screws at the back to hold it together and cut the plastic at the front just above the rivets (see pic of BB4/1), and i can wear it with my A*BNS no problem, always been a fan of scattershield/sentinal....looks like baggetts wearing the new one last few rounds

I run the proframe, under my jersey, with an Atlas and I am pretty happy how well they work. I'm a little taller than 6'2" so I extend the shoulder straps almost as far as they will go; which might be the reason it fits so well. If you are shorter, I would recommend trying one on before hand.

I did remove the back panel for riding moto because it was way too warm.

I have this one from fly. Very thick protection. Kinda hot if your now moving in the summer, but did great against roost.

I've been wearing one of these since they came out and really like it. I always wear my CP under my jersey. Pretty much always have.

I'm getting the TDL CP5900 (pictured above) from the wife for Christmas. I've been trying to balance protection with comfort, as well as finding something that works well with my neck brace. I'm currently using a Fox Proframe, but after taking a handlebar to the rib cage back in October, I realized that I needed something a little more substantial. At 51, ribs don't heal as quickly as they used to. In the end, I wanted something to wear under-jersey that wouldn't turn me into a mobile convection oven. The Proframe is plenty cool, but I can't wear it under jersey with my Atlas brace. While it may not have the impact certification the Leatt has, this is far more than a roost protector. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

Any new under jersey protectors someone would recommend. I don't wear much safety gear but i would like something for roost this year

I tried a bunch of under jersey chest protectors. Right now I have the TLD vest mentionned earlier in this post. It does fit super good, a bit painful to remove, not super friendly on hot days but it's the best so far. Atlas as one available that should fit well the atlas brace. I'm questionning myselft if I try an Atlas brace this year with this chest protector. With 2 kids and one on the way even tough I hate riding with neck brace... I'm thinking ''what if''

One Industries makes a great lighr roost guard but Nike makes a padded shirt that football players use that has shoulder padding and rib padding. Very light

I wear this under my jersey for BMX. Obviously very minimalist when it comes to protection, but I like that it covers the shoulders and spine, yet is flexible, very breathable and zips so it's easy to get on and off:

It's not a solid one but you might want to try the Atlas Charger. Cost is 70$.

I've run a few and the TLD chest protector is the most comfortable for me and wear it under the jersey. It comes with shoulder and bicep guard but I remove those.

i´m looking for a under jersey chest protector and i´m looking at thor senitel gp mx or Fox proframe lc. which should you buy ? looks like the fox proframe has some more back protection but doesent seems to work well with my alpinestars neckbrace.
