Once RV turns up the heat...
Like clock work...
What it really comes down to is the whole team effort...and the bike set up. JS7 had strong races at A1, Oak,SD and Dallas. He was OK at A2 and PHX...but not great...and terrible at A3. Most of that goes to bike set up. When it is good...James is a top guy. Chad was killer at A2 and A3...and that goes to nailing the set up as well. Go look at the lap times...pretty much everyone's lap times tanked at A2 and A3 after lap 12...because of the tires and set up. You can look at RV's lap times for instance at A3. After lap 13...he loses about .20s a lap till the end. That was his tires getting torched. Do you really think RV got tired at lap 12? Do you really think Chad stepped it up at the end? He ran his same pace the whole race. They nailed the set up for A3 and A2. Chad and KR were the only riders who really could run the same pace the whole race at A3. Again...look at the lap times.
RV has struggled with set up on some tracks, and him getting all he can and staying upright is not the same as 'taking it easy' or managing his points lead.
The sport has evolved to the point that a top rider can no longer overcome a set up issue on tracks where set up is crticial (ie the harder soil tracks) by riding around it. A top guy like RV or JS with a bad set up...they are now P4-P6 guys!
Going east the dirt gets softer. Blah blah blah. What that really means is set ups get easier and less critical. This means you will not see RV (or James....or anyone really) limited by set up as it had been as some races. RV and James will be front runners. We clearly saw that at Oakland where the dirt was more middle of the road. RV and James were clearly a cut above. IF Chad had not been hurt...he would have been the guy at the lead of the 2nd group...CR, KR, RD and Barcia.
They are all going as hard as they can. The results are reflective of nothing else.
If everyone wants all the hate to stop well, it's up to one guy to start and then others need to follow. This year I'm just tired of all the bitterness and negative bullshit. And everyone trying to "prove" their right with their opinion or thoughts, backed by if their guy wins, or shoulda won, or coulda won etc etc.
I'm cheering for all the riders and hope the best guys win it, even if that guy isn't one of my favorite riders. Happens to be the last two rounds, James has crushed 'em. And it's always fun to watch him do what he does best, when he's doing it the best! As we know he can. It was no less fun watching Chad gettin' after it and winning either and same with KROC as a rookie. Hopefully, there's a few more surprises and winners for the remaining rounds.
That's all I got.
Oh here we go
Pit Row
Dianna Dalgren is seriously the skinniest i will go.. ever (size wise)
I actually like a little meat on the bones too..lol
my...
god...
You know what's funny? James was SOOOOOOOO excited when he finally got a win.. I've never seen anyone so excited to win ever.
He knows what a big deal it is, and he's beat RC, Reed, Windham and the list goes on.
He knows shit's just gettin started in this series...
Post a reply to: So RV is layin' back?...
