the wife was telling me i need to pick a name for the baby due later this month. kinda half joking i said well whoever wins A-1 we will name the baby that.,

so last night she was getting real serious about it and said well who won A-1? I said ken, she said no I dont like that name what is his last name I said Roczen she said ok..........

this is kid number 3

Ha no way, we had our first just over a year ago and named him Roczen. My wife had been watching the races with me when we were looking for baby names and she liked it. I was a little hesitant to be "that guy" that named his kid after a moto guy, but the name has grown on me. And I've always been a fan of Kenny.

Be prepared to be asked by every single person you encounter where the name came from. I've just started telling people it's German and leaving it at that.

Hey guys, just want to give you a little heads up on that name.
Roczen is everything but a normal german name, i'm pretty sure it has to have some influence from
some eastern european countries, Poland i'd guess.
Matches the area kenny is from, the very east of germany.
Don't know if you want to know that but thought it could be interesting for you.

It makes a realy cool first name, so congrats to that and your new kids!

Im half german and lived over there for 6 years total and never heard the name. Not really to worried about the history or meaning of it. nothing more than the deal i made with the wife. Whoever one A1 was the deal.
