Hum... MX only... yeah... but what do you think of maybe to have only one circuit w/both venues that travels the country in the most economical path for ALL RIDERS... remember those privateer guys that make up the rest of the pack... "anything that creates and keeps more racing for the future progression of the sport!" IMO :-)

now i dont think its in the best interest of the rider to do MX only for financial reasons but i see no personal reason why a rider can't just choose just one series if they so desire.... yes the $$ is in sx but all sx riders were MXers 1st......

My point being: Why don't factories hire specific riders for specific seasons.
That way they start healthy and are fresh for a half season of top level racing "in thier specialty." I mean face it: Some guys are way better in sx than mx & visa versa.

Hypothetically Suzi COULD have done this for 09:

All points should be combined from both SX and MX at year end, the guy who has the most should be made AMA champ.

I used to be ALL about SX.... until I went to my first outdoor race at Red Bud. Yeah, I still like SX and still watch every race on TV, but MX is where it's at for me. If they could just figure out a way to somehow translate the outdoor experience to TV better it would be just as big as SX. For me SX "live" versus TV isn't all that different, but MX is not even close to compairable. Even K-Dub said in a recent interview that he hasn't watched a race all season because TV doesn't do the outdoors justice. If they could just figure that out (a way to make the TV coverage more like the real thing) that would be huge, IMO. Maybe hire the boys that do the "Great Outdoors" videos to shoot and produce the coverage for Speed.

Hold on! It's been a LONG time since SX was anything about racing!
There are two solutions:
1) Combine them into one series, with the same format. At least two 30 minute, plus 2 lap motos. This is the best option as it could combine the $$ and spread it out some.
2) Completely split them up, Riders, sanctioning bodies, and everything else.

Supercross is more about the show anymore and that is why I won't pay my $$ to go watch them anymore.

I like it. How about fixing Stupidcross so it works for all of us.
1) Bring back the day time qualifiers.

2) Bring back the old SX fomat for the night show too.

3) Fix the tracks so we still have most of the star riders for the whole season. It ain't a race if there' s one star and 50 guys that can't stay on the same lap.

4) Remove the shark tanks and abulance filler jumps.
