I hope I don't offend any of the old guys on here, but I absolutely love when people put black rims on the vintage bikes. I know it's probably sac-religious but I'm young enough that "vintage" to me is McGrath's Peak Honda, so I would be lying if I said I knew how true vintage bikes were intended to look.

That is a sweet bike. I got passed by one years back on a long sweeping right hand turn. Kind where you just lay it over and hammer down on the throttle. The old man riding the bike had a leather chest protector on and I could swear was grinning at me when he motored past me.

who makes those domed rims? D.I.D.? I vaguely remember those for dirtbikes, although i do remeber how popular they were in BMX in the nineties. Odyessey made the BMX ones, among others. didn't Kawasaki have oem rims like that as well in the early 2000's? I know these never came on any Hondas...

fuck my memory is shot...

either way, they look killer, especially with that brushed finish and no polish.

this idea should have caught on for anyone who rides in the mud.

How do you like that thing? I remember riding one when I was in my teens and the power scared the shit out of me.

Oh its amazing! i went from a honda 150r to this and theres so much bottom end torque it feels close to a four stroke! Its got tons of power and is as light as a feather! Its does really good in gnarly woods stuff and technical single track which is what i love. I race mostly Enduros in the AMA District 36 and occasionally D36 Hare Scrambles as well. This bike is great overall. It does really good in almost any type of riding from mx to desert to wood.

Quick question: has anyone put '09+ plastics on an '02+ CR250 before? I know a lot of people throw the front fender on, and I'll do that swap at some point. But what about shrouds or other pieces? Obviously I expect to drill a few holes, but is it even possible?

Thanks for the reply! I really want a 150sx but I think I might want just a little bit more power so I have been toying with the idea of getting a 150sx and stuffing a 200 motor in it. I have read that the swap isn't too hard. I think it would make the perfect bike since I do mostly moto with a little bit of hare scrambles and I have a hard time harnessing the power a 250 two stroke.

Would be cheaper to just buy a 200xc, set the suspension up for motocross, maybe port the motor for top end.

if youre going to be doing mostly mx and xc then i think the 150xc would be the way to go because linkage and it does really good in both. its even better if the hare scrambles youre going to be racing are more wide open type rather than tight gnarly stuff. i ride hare scarmbles but Mostly enduros, so the 200 is great overall. ive only rode track a few times with my 200 and it seemed to just fine even with the pds. it has power from bottom to mid to top. it pulls like a jet
