From pictures I have seen of Jeremy's Dunlop tires, they are gold lettered. Any of you think about or attempt this with a gold paint marker. I know there out there for tire white lettering.

A buddy gave it to me years ago. Racer X has sold posters of some of there covers in the past, they still might. I assume this was one of them.
Plus it is signed by the Jammer and Tony D. The photo was taken by Charlie Morey. His work is still available on line should you want the picture?

Hi Guy's,

I believe the supply may have finally dried up. Check Motosport.com. If they don't have it you'll have to chase down one of eBay or get a repop from Clarke.

At some point in the 2000s the rear axle diameter was increased and from '97 on the rotor diameter was larger. Also the spacers would be different. The CR gurus here would be able to provide more specifics but it's not a bolt-up swap out type deal as it would be with the front hub and rotor.

Honda still sells the 96 shroud graphics. The rear fender was recently discontinued.

Nice McGrath build! What brand hammertone did you use to paint the ignition cover?

I have some 92-01 CR250 HRC reed valve gaskets for sale for the hardcore MC fans here.

Finished mine up the other night. Had to cut some corners to get it on a truck the next day . Will make changes later this year.
I have an original set of 100% tank/radiator shroud graphics. There curling up some and not sure how the glue is.
Anyone interested in them?

That's a real bummer. His posts were talking about how trick his bike was going to be with a possible magazine article, etc.

Hi
On my 96 engine I had all the cases and cyl etc aqua blasted (minute glass beads in high pressure water), it comes up like new. Sand blasting is too aggressive for a natural finish and also look very dry and powdery, ok if you are going to paint afterwards. The aqua blasting is safe on nikasil and bearing seats etc. I get mine done cheap but have to pack it in my luggage and take it from Spain to the UK. I was lucky enough to get 3 HRC ignition covers at a great price. One thing I will do on my bike is weld 2 threaded inserts to the lower frame tubes for the water pump guard. Good luck and keep the pictures coming, I personally love these threads.
Hi jtracing6,
I have just got my 1995 cr250 engine cases, swing arm and a few other bits and pieces aqua blasted. They came up looking great however one of my mates said everything I got aqua blasted will need to be sealed with some kind of paint. Have you ever done anything like that? Or does it not need to be done? At this this point in time I won't be riding it, but I would like it to be able to be ridden, so it may or may not get dirty down the track.

If anyone one else has had experience with aqua blasting please add your 2 cents,

Thanks Dan

I think you can still get the stock front fender. i have a set of new in the bag '96 shrouds with decals I'll never use, PM me if interested.

If your deal with DJVMXPro doesn't work out you can always sell them on eBay UK for big bucks. The vintage scene is WAY bigger there than here, it's ridiculous. I plan on selling my left-over parts there. Vintagebikeads.com is another good Euro parts selling connection.

@Barkhard696, what's up with all the allen head bolts? Is this temporary or are you going to keep these in stead of flanged bolts? The pipe looks awesome!

Took me a while to find it in that thread. Here's where the poster cleaned the KX carb with a homemade soda blaster:

Hey mate I think it's called arctic white. MCfan4life will be the one to ask though. I'm pretty sure thats what Col said towards the start of this thread when he was getting his frame powder coated

This is how my 1993 CR250 looks currently, the motor and frame are in really good condition so this bike is a great starting point and only cost me $1000

@barkhard696: No thanks, not trying to criticize but flanged bolts would look better in my opinion. The pipe looks excellent, almost like the real HRC pipe, who reproduced/produced it?

Awesome job Barkhard, 718 and everyone else involved. That is a really sweet looking bike!

Can I ask what the finish is on the clutch and ignition covers? I really like that look and would like to go something similar on a current project of mine.
