I bet Roger is a lil bit peeved (ok, furious) at Dungey right now. 2nd place start with RV in like 9th and once again Dungey just tiptoes around while Poto makes quick work of everyone.

That was frustrating to watch. He wouldn't pass him and not to mention he wasn't getting through the whoops as good as the others.

Don't think any bitch slapping has occurred, yet...give it a few more races and if RV1 starts to pull away in the points. If that happens; then you'll see RD pulling out the coat hangar and taking it to RD5.

It is frustrating, but he is one point out of the lead.

Its going to get interesting really quick under the tent once Roger realizes that the hope and future is with Kenny and starts giving him all the attention.

as he was in 2011, 2012, 2013. Point is, its being comical to say the season is young when we are now beginning another season with the same exact results as the previous 3.

I agree, the win was there for the taking. Not to discredit what Brayton did, but with Dungeys experience up front he should of been able to pressure Justin more and pass him imo

I wasn't paying 100% of my attention on this, but at one point didn't Kenny pass Dungey tonight moving forward. I thought Dungey started 2nd and stayed there most of the race, while Kenny bounced around.

Dungey just needs some aggressiveness. Pull the trigger. With this stacked of a field playing nice isn't going to cut it every race. I will agree however that dungey is very consistent. But the point is he could have had double the amount of race wins in his career had he made one pass.

This will plague his career if he doesn't fix it soon IMO.

Maybe Roger should send Ryan to New Mexico to hang with Anderson. JA17 has made 2 more meaningful passes this year already than Ryan has in his career.

It has plagued his career thus far.

You cant fix it man. You are either born with the aggression and killer instinct or you are not.

He wasnt born with that trait.

Dungey is a great rider and some one who is as consistent as they come but passing quickly is his weakness.

Roger knows how championships are won.....after just 2 rounds this year, some on this thread apparently do not...

Its not about just THIS race.

Dungey has been like this his entire career.

Thats the point.

The other Ryan seems to know how they are won also.

Nothing like winning. All it does is boost your confidence and momentum.

I'm not a Dungey supporter but I do have big respect for him. He rides with his head. He knows its a long season. He knows that consistent placings on the podium each week will just about seal the deal, however, with that said, if RV keeps winning then he is going to need to set it up a little. For now, Dungey is doing the right thing...solid finishes = great points. The real fighting will take place a few rounds from the season end.

Going to be awesome to see how this all plays out.....

Have you guys ever thought that Dungey just can't ride at 100% flat out like RV and JS? and if he did he would go backwards due to making mistakes etc? He's a smooth rider and maybe that's as fast as he could go tonight due to the track conditions?

It's so hard during a race to just turn it up a notch like RV, The track was very slick tonight…..

Give the guy a break, He rides better then 99% of the field and he has the best technique yet everyone gives him the most shit.

Its round 2 guys, A 2nd and a 3rd is a lot better then ending up with a DNF.

Riding with composure and taking what the night gives you is one thing. But if you're going to do that, you have to capitalize on EVERY opportunity and take advantage when other guys have issues. I grade Dungey by how many points he leaves on the table in a season because when you're that type of rider, you can't afford to give up anything that was within your grasp. The way I see it, he's left at least 5, if not 8 points on the table so far this season.

No, his problem is he won't force an issue when he clearly could and then ride away with the "W". If he would just run it in on the rider he IS faster than, enough to where they will pause... BOOM, passes and he rides away. All clean to.

You cannot tell me he doesn't have the skill or control to get that done. I just don't believe it.

It's not about giving him a break, but more about seeing him realize his full potential. Just my opinion though.

Dungey is a great rider, but god I don't think he would even show a wheel to an 80cc beginner for the lead. He just needs to start punting people out of his way and get aggressive.

When Dungey was on the Suzuki, I believe he felt more comfortable with the bike, which allowed him to go faster while not having to ride over his head.

The KTM obviously works for others, but RD's results show it's not working for him.

When did RV come from 10th to beat a 2nd place RD when he was on the Zuk? If it happened, it was rare.
