I know there is another thread about Texas tracks, but I am looking specifically for tracks near Dallas. I'm going to Dallas for Christmas to visit family and would love to get some riding in if possible.
So, how about it Texas folks... Tell me about your tracks!

River Valley is packed with sketchy slow people on the weekends, but is pretty good on Thursdays. All tables and good dirt if you're there at opening. About an hour from downtown.
Oak Hill is pretty good and never packed, safe and fun jumps. Pretty good elevation by texas standards. Hour and 15 from downtown.
Masterpools is centered around racers. It's a new track every day. It's dug deep and has technical but safe jumps. Hour and a half from downtown.
I can't speak to Johnsonville as I haven't been yet, but have only heard good things.
Oh and I don't know of anyone who puts Village at the top of the list besides pawpaw. Whether it's at the beginning of the day or later, it always ends up looking like a bad socal track.
To the OP - I'd say oakhill and RiverValley. Not going to bash any tracks because I'm thankful we have options... if your good for a 3hr drive hit up 3 palms. Worth the drive IMO
For the OP, my DFW track suggestions would be:
Tuesday - Masterpool's
Wednesday - Oak Hill
Thursday - River Valley
Saturday - I-35
Sunday - Johnsonville
Masterpool's is not a race track. It's a training facility that isn't very jumpy, but Jerry changes it up every day and rips it very deep. It's like a corner track on steroids. I like it occasionally to change things up, but I think RV and Oak Hill are more fun. That's just me.
Oak Hill kicks ass. Calling it just "decent" tells me that txgoon has a future in crack smoking.
Johnsonville is excellent, but it's too far from me to ride there very often.
Buffalo Creek is excellent, but it's also beyond my driving limits when Oak Hill and River Valley are so close. They had some issues with consistent prep in the past, but supposedly it's been very good lately.
River Valley is my go to track because it's closest to home and I like the layout and dirt. I'm there every Thursday and usually Saturdays. There are fewer spodes on Saturdays than on Sundays. I get there early when the dirt is at it's best and before the crowds show up. Thursdays at RV usually includes Matt Bisceglia, Tommy Hahn, Matt Lemoine, etc., but I guess txgoon thinks he's too good to ride with those guys.
RV used to be my go to track about 2 years ago but the guys I rode with at that time sold their bikes and the new crop of guys I ride with only like to ride cross country places and there's not many of those around here. And certainly none that are decent. I still like riding MX tracks but I don't like going to tracks alone. I'm currently between bikes but trying to snag a new one. Once I do that, I may hit you up and meet out at RV.
Pit Row
Let me know when you have a bike and you are ready for some MX. I'm almost always at RV on Thursdays, and usually one day on the weekends.
If you really want to be a winner, instead a mid pack nobody, you have to practice in all conditions, because that's what you'll see at the big races.
PS. If you aspire to be a racer with real sponsors someday, it's advisable to keep trash talk off the internet. That doesn't look good to potential sponsors, so if you don't have something good to say, it's best not to say anything at all.
Surprised no one said MX Under ground. I try to make it there every trip. Love that dirt.
Let us not forget about sketchy-town. This track exists in the above area. Never been there but have heard stories. Met a dude at a christmas party last weekend the did time there. Basically its an old track and/or set of trails that criss-cross and has never been goomed. folk-lore has it, a tweaker charges you like 6 bucks and lets you ride your ass off while he cooks chicken on a barrel grill (meals included).
