Not sure I understand the logic behind casinos sponsoring teams. What are they selling? Your average moto fan isn't going to fly to Michigan to go to Soaring Eagle Casino just because they sponsor RCH. If it was a nationwide chain I guess that would make more sense. But still, how many 18-30 year old bros are really gonna go waste money at a casino? I don't get it.

I'm wondering the same thing....but Kenny Watson is a brilliant B2B strategist so it must make sense.

Casinos make boo koo money. It likely makes sense to have the expense of sponsoring the team for tax purposes

Do Indian casinos have the same tax issues that private owned casinos do?

Assuming this is an Indian casino, I don't think they are worried about taxes

pure and simple. brand recognition. tv impressions. never even knew what sycuan was til i seen them hit motocross.

I highly doubt the states don't have a hand in the indian casinos via tax of some sorts.

The motocross demographic of young men with a desire to take risks and a fair amount of disposable income might have something to do with the casinos wanting to advertise to this market.

But hey, that might be logical. I'm sure they just do it because they love dirt bikes.

Are there any pics of the bikes with the new graphics? The RCH (and old H&H) bikes are always some of the best looking IMO.

This was the production bike that was on display. Had a graphics kit put on it, but not sure if it was even a 14 or if these are the official graphics?

Two casinos sponsoring the same team? Are they linked somehow?

Did you notice the display bike at the Monster Energy Cup? That one was said to be an early mock-up. I'm not sure what we'll see come A1.

they addressed this on the pulp show last week (I think it was last weeks show). Sycuan is still sponsoring the team but soaring eagle will be sponsoring for a couple (not sure the exact number) of races on the east coast rounds. Kenny explained it that soaring eagle was a resort casino whereas Sycuan didn't have a resort aspect. Therein, they weren't direct competitors...or something like that. I always end up scratching my head a little bit when Kenny starts explaining stuff. I love the guy but he doesn't always come off polished in his interviews.

I think its a waste of money as far as the tribe is concerned and they will never get there returns in advertising im only 15 miles from the soaring eagle casino and did not bother to go there today .As I am a member of the sault Chippewa tribe in northern michigan and my tribe owns the Kewadin Casinos .I don't believe my tribe will ever sponsor a sx team

If it brings sponsorship and revenue to motocross, why not support it?

Carey Hart is a marketing genius and is giving back to the sport.

I swear, some of you guys would argue about what color blue the sky is. If some team loses a sponsor or folds, you'll piss and moan about how the sport is failing. If an casino like Soaring Eagle helps out, there needs to be a discussion on whether they pay taxes or not.

this also puts a presence at detroit supercross..... in the heart of public casinos that sprang up 10 years ago. they put a dent into soaring eagles traffic that was bused in from detroit.

Actually it's a heck of an idea!

Glock KTM, Remington Honda, Ruger Suzuki, Mossberg Kawasaki, Springfield Armory Yamaha. Maybe CCI or Hornady could sponsor a satellite team. This has possibilities.

It meets the demographic model, there's plenty of crossover- such as both activities fighting freedom hating scum, both are usually outdoor, and more.

I like it!
