This thread delivers.

Knowing Jordan and the crew since my INFAMOUS 18th birthday party Moto XXX and the days of hanging out in the bathroom for HOURS in Mammoth after the restaurant had closed for the premiere, I certainly know that these type of responses are the EXACT responses they got when they started the first go around.

Moto XXX wasn't anything huge right away, the old grey hairs and panty in a wads had the same type responses. This is just the same thing, but years later and having the ability to see more people chime in faster with the intranet.

I told this story before, MOTO XXX premiered at mammoth back in 96 I think. Anyways, three of us hid in the bathroom when they kicked all the minors out. We were in there for a few hours, scared every time the door cracked that we were on our way out. We had filmed with the crew at Palm Ave and Ocotillo months before and were so, so pumped.

Anyways, movie time came... our part came up and like everyone else I felt this rush to see myself on the screen. I was just a Team Green "b" rider at the time and 18 years old. Then "Andy's 18th birthday" came on and four strippers were dancing all over me (another GREAT story I will share if you would like). I was getting high fives and the whole industry in mammoth, it made me feel like a hero.

UNTIL..... I went to the track the next day and word reached my Mom about my 18th birthday and my part in the movie. My mom was in tears, her baby, her pride and joy.. Strippers? It smoothed over after a while and I am not sure even Jordan remembers but he and Kurt actually talked with my mom. They told her in front of me that if that hurt my career, they would make up for it. She was worried the industry was going to hate me after building such a good name. In all honesty, the second my mom turned away, the industry was asking me details and secretly giving me high fives. That part helped in that movie way more than it hurt.

The boys always seemed to help me when I needed it.

I wasn't listed on the actual "rider list" Jordan listed earlier but I was always a Moto XXX rider and step brother from the very beginning. Matter of fact, In 2001 I was out of money and opportunities it seemed. Along came Smelly and Kurt with the keys to the box van and a AMEX for gas. I wasn't even "on the team" but was on the road.

I finished my "career" under the MotoXXX awning with Kyle Lewis at Salt Lake in 01 when I got hurt. Wouldn;t trade any memories for anything,

This ad? It did exactly what MotoXXX was born and raised on. It got a rise from the haters and a smirk from the fans,

right on Jordan.

man, I wish I would have been in the room when this ad was thought up and created. To hear Jordan laugh and see the tears in his eyes knowing exactly what it would do to some people....

Priceless.

You can read? I bet it took you a good hour to get through that, sounding out every word.

Sure, we can hang out. I'll take you to school whenever you would like.

It's Saturday, no class today Regis. Just like you though, no class but if you wanna take Coal to school maybe you can find the playground.

and please no more bedtime stories bro. I got no issue with MotoXXX but you sound like a whiny little bitch trying to stick up for her boyfriend. I'm sure the brand doesn't need you defending their business decisions even if you so called "finished your career under their tent". c'mon bro

Awesome story, Andy!
I remember that scene in the video, don't remember if I knew who's birthday it was at the time.
I remember Kyle Cowlings (elmo) mom wouldn't let him watch that video because of that scene!...hahaha

After reading all this, I can see how the political correctness of are world has changed things. Sounds like all these people talking shit are the fan base of American Idol.

I remember the promotional stuff for the 70's/early 80's punk bands was way more over the top than this.

Everything on page 8 validates my post on this thread I think on page 2. If MotoXXX wants to "sell shit", the lion's share of folks who will buy their products will be sold if they just take them back to the era MotoXXX was involved in the sport and market from there. You can call the rest of this banter free advertising, that is fine. It looks like you guys would sell a lot more graphic kits than shirts though.

I still don't think being controversial and pissing people off for a laugh is cool, hopefully you guys are at least getting a feel for what people will actually buy out of this.

Speaking of, I thought Smelly was co-owner of Moto XXX. I never hear his name brought up anymore.

If it would've been an ad about how you nailed the resurrected Jesus back to the cross and ganged Mary Magdoline at the foot of that cross, I would've thought you guys were bad....but beating up a fat old guy from some children fairy tales? Please.

Long Live MotoXXX and special thankx to Kenny Watson (Ray Crumb) for bringing you and this revolution in, Burns. Please say 'Hello' to the rest of the original committee for me......Kurt, Eric.
