Anyone ever thought Dean Wilson could be waiting for the factory kawi spot to be open? His contract with Pc is up the same time Jakes is up at kawi...

I think there would be a better chance he would eventually end up with two two motorsports, since him and Chad get along and the Pro Circuit connection.

Wilson needs to prove that he can ride at a championship pace, and be a regular podium finisher in 2014 before he starts thinking about a factory ride away from PC, IMO. I like Deano...but with the talent in the 250's this year, he's gonna really have to step it up if he's going to match the hype he carries.

That said...I don't think he'll ever be second banana to Villopoto.

He needs to prove what? Is there something I have missed out on the last 4 seasons? Deano is the biggest threat to win the 250`s this year, with Eli and Kroc moving up. Smile

He rode with an injury in the 450`s and still rode better than Weimer if I`m not mistaking. Deano would be a perfect fit for factory Kawi in the long run. He could learn from RV, and eventually take over when Rv retires

Agreed, and if RV sunsets at the end of his contract, that's in a few years. So they'd only overlap in 2015.

While Deano is good and could be great, I'd still court Roczen if I were Kawasaki. He's more likely to follow in RVs footsteps IMO.

Didn't Deano turn down an offer from KTM because he didn't want to be the second rider to Dungey?

Let's worry about '14 before we get to '15.

Wilson to Two Two is probable, however....Reed wants to have a "contender" in the 450 class on his team no just some midpacker...and with the injuries and performances to date so far on the 450, I am not sure Reed see's Wilson as that guy.....so like mentioned above, we'll have to see how 2014 plays out...

Aside from Dean, and it is a year + away....But I think we'll see Two Two make a run at getting Barcia......

This is a very fickle sport.

What's he done lately? Yeah, exactly.

Until he starts winning or threatening to win again, there won't be a line up of teams waiting to sign him as their top rider.

Hey, I'm not saying Dean's not totally capable of winning. He definately is...but he hasn't done it lately. Being better than Weimer is...well...not winning. If he can top the army of fast up and coming 250 riders this season, then no doubt he'll snag a top ride, but if not he might not get what he turned down to stay on the 250's with PC this year.

You said that correctly, years.

I don't think any team is willing to spend allot of $$$ on a rider that has been injured allot the past years.
No disrespect to Deano, he's one of my fav riders. But this sport is rather brutal when it comes to the career of a top dog.

Signing a rider is always a gamble, but the more he has proven in previous seasons the more chance you have to win the gamble. Looking at the past years Deano does not come out very well. Not due to lack of talent but rather due to lack of health and fitness to finish a season.

I really hope he can shock the MX world in the upcoming season, in a good way that is.

2015 Kawi team will be RV, Deano and Roczen! Let RV groom those guys for a few years before he retires.
