Isn't that when all the "new" rides get their first exposure?

Congrats to James, and the Stewart family for their years of dedication and commitment to excellence.

When I talked to him the other day, he said he'd like to do it.

I'd guess it comes down to how testing goes.

I'd say 22 and 800 for are pretty likely. The rest? Let me check this magic eight ball again...

Of course, you do have the 250Fs vs. 450s on the same track there, which makes it interesting.

Also, I heard a rumor over the weekend (and it's only a rumor) that in '09, 250cc guys from each coast will be allowed to ride the 450 class on the opposite coast...but only their 250Fs.

It's not that reason at all, it's just a tight sx track so both bikes work well and can both be competitive with each other. At JMI Grant got 2nd behind Windham on his 250f, he rode his ass off and it was a great race.

Back in 2006 Jeremy McGrath put me in charge of contacting riders for his SX, it was hard, other promoters telling riders not to compete, riders wanting time off, and well just some riders not ready or willing to move up to 450's.

There was 10 of us on a conference call and I was tired of giving excuses for why riders won't commit and I say what about going after 250f riders, I had spent the following weekend begging Mitch Payton at the Denver Airport to let RV race Jer's race, Mitch said no way he's not ready to race the 450, I begged Jimmy Perry for Josh Hill, no way he has no experience on a 450, so I called Jeremy and said...Hey let's mix the class, let's let the 250f race with the 450f's, Jeremy said great idea go with it. Josh Grant was my first guy who said hell yeah I'm in. I called everyone else and said ok we're letting 250f's in, that didn't help, still outside pressure not to help Jeremy's SX. But it was a great race, the ramps kicked ass, Pastrana was the best guy for PR and I think we really gave Windham the confidence and what it took to make for a great SX season for him in 2007. Grant and DV dicing and hitting each other in their races were great to watch. I'm with most to see guys racing each other and not winning by 30+ seconds is far better racing.

1st thing to make sx better racing is allow all things and everything in the race, let anybody race both classes too. this shit ain't hard to think of now is it?

How many 250F guys want to ride their ass off against 450's. In a meaningless west or East coast race, I say none will take that risk.

No, I thing it should be like the IROC races. Everyone on stock equipment, then you can really buy what the pros use. Also, it would make for a lot of the guys lower on the pole be able to show out a little more and bring the racing together more.

I remember last year Stewart was supposed to ride, but bailed just before the event because he was sick, so if I were putting money on it, I'd say he will race. I sure hope so, 'cus I will be staying at the MGM that weekend. Why WOULDN"T invited riders not race? I don't get why Mitch has historically not let his guys race...BUT since yer boy Villo is not on PC anymore, seems like it would be his call, right? Seems like a no-brainer to me...a possible 100K and a free weekend in Vegas...I know Chad is down.
