HOLY BAT WHEELS! Words cannot describe how thankful I am right now!! Thank you to everyone who contributed to getting Lane to this race. The extra money will actually allow me to fix a few things on his bike that I was going to borrow parts for before we go.

Jordan, I am in your debt my friend! That was beyond generous.. My son will never forget this race, starting with today, I can assure you.

I would like to thank GuyB for providing the medium for great people like you all to be able to help people like us, who are down right now but will be back up soon! We certainly will be keeping everyone posted on our status down there. Again a huge thank you to all.

That was awesome Jordan. I don't have any extra money at the moment, but just went to the site to get the link to post on MotoXAddicts Facebook and noticed Jordan put you way over the top.

Good luck to you guys and you're right Jordan, the memories made at these events last forever. I'm 42 and pops and I still reminisce about events like Mini O's.

I could use some advice on classes too.

What is everyone's opinion on running a 125 in the 450 C class at that track?

Our plan was to run Schoolboy 1 and I have been arguing with myself on Schoolboy 2 or 250 C. We are only riding MX due to the fact we are low on funds and I don't see us getting what we need to be able to afford a motel room for the entire week.

The reason I am looking at 450 C is, Lane is not a top 5 Schoolboy kid. His speed is on par with a decent C rider and I want to give him the best shot while down there at making it up toward the front.

However, I worry about the C class! We have never run C class as he just got on big bikes this year and have been running Schoolboy when we go. I know 250 C will have the biggest class to try and qualify in and I know 450's will pull him on the starts and straights. Not sure what to do to give him the best possible chance at finishing 10 top in whatever class we enter him. He said breaking 10th place at least once was his goal...
I have a son same age similar riding situation. I don't know the rules at Mini O's but I would put him in the 450 C vs. the 250 C class. In my experience, most in the 450 class are on 250's anyways and the class is usually a little smaller. It would probably be a little less intimidating, especially since he just moved up. Just my 2 cents with current experience with your situation in question.

Lane IMHO is so deserving of this. For several years, we have went to the races in a pickup truck and whatever we could fit in the bed. On long weekend races, we sleep under the stars in a tent. Now that he is older and can do things for himself, Lane has no one to help him get his bike ready to go between motos and make sure he is not missing his race. He has to keep track of the race order himself and make sure he gets to the line on time. He is a full time student in regular school, only gets to ride every other weekend and has an 8 year old 2006 yz125. He knows he is behind the eight ball against alot of these other racers who are at the top of their game that attend these training camps and show up in huge RV's, but, he doesn't care. When he gets on the bike, he wants to win just like they do. He tries his hardest each time he rides against these kids and feels one day, he will be standing on the top step of the box. I have someone going with us that will be helping me at the event with taking photographs. I think I will be in the mechanics area holding a pit board for my racer this year, thanks to many of you guys!

No problem! I know exactly what it is like to be in the situation your in. For Millville 2008, if it hadn`t been for a local that helped us out with gas money, we wouldn`t of made it. That was an amazing family experience and I was truly grateful, this here reminded me of that so I thought I would pay it forward! Have fun dude!!

I wanted to add, Lane, don't go crazy thinking you need results to justify people helping you out, that is to much pressure and a great way to get hurt, just go race and do your best, the results will be there.
