Can you imagine the race where RC lapped the field, everyone including JS7 gets a black flag and only RC is riding
around the rest of the race? Hilarious! Just my 2 cents. By the way, if you want less lappers cut the gate to 10 riders, another bad idea!

Kinda like IROC for moto.
Getting lapped is part of racing. The guys in 17th have the same right to the track. The rule has always been "hold your line".

Instead of spewing crap i should have expressed my opinion on this idea.
I just thought his idea was terribly narrow minded. Riders work hard and spend allot of cash to get there. This kind of idea is a blow to them and the sport, there is more going around then the 'fast guys'. Getting your ass into a main event is not easy to do, getting pulled out of it 'because rules say so' will bring less starters to the event over time.
I'll get blasted for using the N-word,
but in NASCAR they do a pretty good job of removing drivers that are no longer part of the race. They have a minimum speed that drivers must maintain or else they face being black flagged.
Each SX race I'm blown away to see riders in the back rolling the whoops/triples towards the end of the race. Not to take away any credit from these guys, but it's clear that at that point their race is over. The only thing left for them to do is get in the way of the show that we are all there to see.
Just curious; since a lot of people seem to disagree with my stance because they feel it takes away from the glory that the backmarkers have earned, do you feel that we should eliminate the night qualifiers and have a 40 man gate? The point I'm trying to make with this thought exercise is that no matter how you look at it, the cutoff that determines who deserves to be on he track is completely arbitrary.
NOPE!
Get lapped once, get off the track.
Too many guys just going thru the motions out there. I'd like the rule because it would force them to go all out all the time.
Just because youre going around the track doesnt mean you are "racing".
