I know he had a rough go last year but JW12 is one of my picks. He is coming into this season without injury as of now and he was super fast when he won his 250 title.

Gotta think that Josh Grant is pretty encouraged after his results late in MX.

I'm a Weimer fan so I hope your prediction is right.

Grant is a good pick for sure. I also think brayton will bust out a few podiums this year.

Josh Hill. Not saying he's going to be a player for the title, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him as a consistent top-5 guy.

I'm gonna also go with JG33, he had a great 2nd half of the nationals and I think he can carry that momentum into SX.

My second pick is Reed. You know he's foaming out the mouth to show people he can still win and be a consistent podium guy.

Is it January yet?

These kinds of threads always get us pumped up a few months before SX starts. Listing the competition has gotta give you that much more respect for what RV has done lately. Every season we're reminded of the competition and he just seems to not give a crap and hands out beatings regularly.

I definitely like seeing the top dog chased down each season. I think it's best for the sport if one man isn't so dominant the whole season. But I don't hate on the top dog for winning.

I'll agree w/ the JG33 Prediction; think he'll surprise some people this year if he can stay healthy throughout the season. I'd even say he might win a round and get on the box quite a few times. He still is that good IMO...JW 12, I can see him pulling out quite a few top-5's and a few podium visits. Those two I see having a breakout season. Hill...gosh, if he can stay injury free. I'd love to see him finish on the box, even if it was only once. Can he go faster? Sure he can, but I'd just like to see him get thru the season, hit all the rounds, make all the mains and just stay consistent. If he can do that, he will be a top 10 dude. I'd like to see him win one, finish on the box, but just want to see him get thru this season strong and consistent. That guy has had some shit luck...just like to see him do well.

Grant is the only Veteran that comes to my mind that should be able to be top 5 underdog, he just needs to get it together Mentally.
Weimer needs to get it together period.

As it stands without injuries, a top 10 finish will be a blessing and for a top 5, they will need 20 flawless laps.

I really want to see Josh Grant and Jake Weimer do well - both guys have the speed, evidently.

Jake was actually right up there at the beginning of the year, which will surely help his confidence going into the season - he must know that he is capable of latching onto the top five.

I've got a good feeling about Trey Canard. Finally got a full season under his belt after some major setbacks. I look for him to return to the form we saw in 2011 when he was winning races.

Would you consider Roczen a surprise? I think he will do great this year, just not sure if it will actually be much of a surprise but I thought I would throw him in there since it will be his first full season on big bikes. I feel the same about Tomac, too.

I think anything that breaks up the Ryan monotony would be a surprise. I have Tomac ahead of Roczen for my own reasons. It would be awesome to see Trey on the top step also. Too bad this can't be more like football where you can have multiple winners every week. So many good riders and only on can win each week. . .

I wish Weston Peick would get on a good team.

WP46 with good support could be the surprise of the year!

Is Barcia on anyone's list to do well? I'll be interested to see where he improves this off season. If he got the man strength yet.
10/15/2013 11:13am
Barcia will do a lot better than last year, maybe he can already beat Dungey, RV not yet imo.
Roczen/Tomac I dunno. Really not sure where both of them will end up but I guess they will be close all the time

Suprise: JG & TC ... at least I hope so, those 2 are actually my fav american riders

Weston Peick had an amazing run at Utah outdoors. A Privateer that placed 4th overall for the day....! A factory ride and this guy would change some things, dude is also a beast.

I think Trey, if healthy, can be in the mix. 22 is dangerous when counted out and most everyone has done just that.

Yeah I agree with some posters above, Bam Bam and Canard are my picks for a stellar SX season
