Can't say I get it just like with Barcia. I'll assume they were near the top of a bidding war for Tomac. But if I want to buy A-Star stuff like he'll be wearing I have to order it from Australia, GB, or some other foreign retailer willing to ship to the US. Why would they put good money up to sponsor a guy who races in a country where the products he'll have on aren't even for sale(minus the boots of course)?

Will they ever sell Alpinestars gear in America? I guess this helps a lot with boots selling as well as casual clothes but it's still strange to me.

As long as parts unlimited is the sole USA supplier for Astars their will be no gear for sale here. It competes with THOR and MOOSE and that is the house brands at PU.

Remember that Alpinestars is considered 'brand neutral' by most people. Meaning you will wear astars with any brand of gear. Most people don't tend to cross brands on their gear so if they thought of astar gear and boots together they wouldn't be as likely to wear them with fox, thor, fly, whatever.

Glad to see him in Astars but I was hoping he would be picked up by Thor personally.

Speaking of AStars being neutral, does anyone remember when Ryan Mills was on factory KTM and wore Gaerne boots with Alpinestar Gear? I think it was in 2005...
