I thought Texas would get it for the franchise tax or what I call the state income tax that people think we don't have. Of course those people don't own a business either. My little independent collision repair shop gets taxed at a much higher rate than the collision repair shops that are part of a dealership. We both do the same thing but they get to pay half of what I do. Idiots running (ruining) this country......Angry

If you think a high school diploma out of our public school system means anything of real value to individual intelligence, you're seriously out of touch with reality and a bigger idiot than those you point the finger at.

I don't mind minorities voting but young people are generally pretty stupid, and minorities tend to vote to make things easier on Illegals so anything we can do to minimize that is great.

Based on that...I kinda want to move to Idaho...then I read what they actually meant by that "lowest level of congressional clout"...lol

And I thought for sure Utah's would be our liquor laws...I don't even drink and I'm embarrassed by them. (At least we can still ride motorcycles without helmets though...Unsure ), or our birth rate...but no, Utah pulls through with the highest rate of online porn subscriptions. Go Utah!

Well, it could be worse. I think in Utah's case it is more a reflection on the naivete' involved in giving a porn site your credit card number than actual usage. Just a guess though.

You don't think Rick would have made a good President? Heck, you just thought Clinton could hold up air traffic while he got his hair done! Laughing

I thought Texas would have been the state with the most illegal immigrants.

And Newmann, just curious how you think your taxes would add up in other states? I'm honestly clueless here and not questioning your comment. But I've been under the impression that Texas is doing something right to draw in the number of businesses we have.

I sincerely love our great state but I'm not saying it's perfect in the least bit.

So, the map and the written statistic are two completely different things for Montana?
I would've thought Montana would have definitely been something associated with Meth, or even the teacher salary like NC.
On a side note, Lousianna's is gonorrhea................I guess things could be worse for MontanaLaughing

Not sure. The franchise tax is just all over the map here. No consistency from one business to the next. Six years ago my franchise tax would be a few hundred dollars. Since then it hovers around ten grand a year. Where the hell does that money even go?

The uncontrolled, decades long, flow of illegals have turned chunks of my beloved Texas into a Third World Shithole.

Oregon is correct, we have a homeless problem.

Also, there are two counties that hold the two largest cities in Oregon and they are both very liberal-leaning. But the rest of Oregon is all rural and more conservative by nature, but every election you can think of is decided by Lane and Multnomah counties, which often oppose the actual needs of the giant rural population. I'm sure that's the case in other states too, but it's frustrating here when the hipster liberal bases in Eugene and Portland hop on to whatever lefty-train because it's the cool thing to do.

And then there's the homeless... Lotsa homeless.

Lots of homeless kids in Portland, it is really sad. The only other place I have seen it worse is in Vancouver B.C.

It is really crazy. We were eating at a Chipotle in a pretty nice part of downtown but one street over was a few hole in the wall pubs accompanied by all these typical wacko freaky looking NW homeless people. But it was sad how many looked to be my age or younger.
