Villo missing des Nations has nothing to do with des Nations or Monster Cup. It is prep time for what really matters to him and his sponsors. And, accordingly, Monster Cup happens to work out in that as well for his prep, and his sponsors.
Using this logic. Millsaps is a pussy, and skipped the nationals and a possible MXDN appearance to get his injuries fixed. He could have waited as well.
Because you, the fans, think this is the most important race in the world doesn't necessarily mean it means shit to a rider and his career. Yeah, it is a rad race and an honor to go, but also a huge risk. Not that anyone here cares, as I can see by the multitude of nonsense coming out in most peoples posts.

Either way I have already taken the weekend off and I'll be up at like 4-5 am watching this shit!!! Go team USA!!
You're a fool if you didn't see this coming the moment he decided to race Leirop, for what reason, to race in front of his homecrowd?
Gimme a fucking break, if I was from his country I would much rather see him race the MXdN than his home GP where he would smoke everyone. You think Stefan and KTM would rather him race a GP than the biggest race in the world. Sorry, but I call bullshit and called this exact same thing happening when he was in for Leirop.
As far as RV.. if he would've raced MXdN and then gotten ankle surgery that would've left him around a month to get ready for A1...
He was nothing to prove. Period. Id take another SX Title over MXdN prolly too
Mxdn is Sept 29 and A1 SX is 4 Jan,that's 14 weeks
MEC is Oct 19 and A1 is Jan 4,that's 11 weeks
So in theory he could've done the MXdN, he has way more than a month to prepare for the defence of his SX title,(14 wks in total)at the end of the day he chose the MEC over MXdN but the logic above says he couldv'e actually done both!
And by your logic, well you're from the US so surely you should rather see RV at the MXdN than at his home championships because you said if you were Dutch you'd rather see Herlings do the MXdN instead of his home GP,which for him is huge btw,far from "pointless",
I'm not bagging on him or Herlings missing anyrace, just putting up another side, people were so quick to defend RV for not racing what some called an "exhibition race" and now Herlings isn't doing it all of a sudden it's the biggest race in the world (which it is) and he's getting flamed
I'd rather have rather seen RV at the (monster energy)MXdN than at the MEC ,which personally I couldn't give a shit about, like most MX fans across the world, its a US SX type of thing afterall, sure he'll make a ton of $$ but good for him
I just dont see the flaming on Herlings not for RV,both aren't doing it,shame for us fans but these things happen,
.
Is increasing your yearly profit by 5% worth it, if your risking a tool needed to maximize a short term plan?
RV races, MXdN leaves about 7 weeks after surgery and A1 press week. That cuts it tight.
?????? Horseshit!
Read my post above, your maths are WAY off,
He' doing the MEC 8 weeks after racing Elsinore
Surgery is in there somewhere too
MXdN is 14 weeks off A1
Some might say why risk the MEC anyway if SX is the biggie, there's just as much track time with the long laps, practice, qualifying etc
As I say he could have done both going by the weeks between the events, looks like he simply decided not to do the MXdN and lots of guys on here agreed with it
Or even next week at the MXdN if he'd crashed and hurt the shoulder at a race he's not getting paid for some might say?
At the end of the day if it hindered progress or just highlighted it,Lierop is all hindsight fella
We know he can ride sand but i would like him to see battle with the best in the world and not see a half healed up herlings ride lierop...
I'm from holland so don't think im a Herlings hater i just don't get his decision of riding lierop.
I bet he would rather be hunting than racing the MXoN any way...
For a speedy recovery.
Pretty sure there will be races in the future for him, and us to talk about (when it comes to MXDN and US vs the world)...
MXdN is the biggest race for those not competing in the above series
Pit Row
MXdN is the biggest race in the World of MX
ask your fellow countrymen that raced here they will teach you a lesson (maybe start with Convington, he got 4th in EMX2 - which isnt bad - the guys he got beat from are somewhere at the tail end of the top20 in MX2 when they race there - and no it was not because of the track which is pretty much american'ish)
but Ive heard that before and that guy was serious.. you may guess which country he was from
