When news broke that Husqvarna had been bought by KTM everyone involved in the sport got excited. It wasn’t just about the leading off-road company in the World buying another brand, but it meant another step in the progress of not only the KTM company, but also the World of Motocross racing.
It was shortly after this news that we also talked to Pit Beirer and he mentioned that we would see a Factory Husqvarna team in the Grand Prix paddock. Suddenly this story became the most exciting story to come out of Europe in many years.
A few months ago, we got hold of Pit Beirer and he mentioned some details, now we have more news. Here is an interview with Mr Beirer about the teams short term progress.

In July I went riding with some hardcore single track guys. The guy who invited me was on a 300cc KTM and his buddy was on a 250cc GasGas plus had a spare 250cc GasGas in his truck. Alex who also had two more GasGas bikes in his garage at home was excited about the new 300cc Beta he had on order.
It will be interesting to see who else attends this 300cc party in the coming years.
