Hey Vital peeps! My name is Justin Starling, I have been racing the 250 class in the outdoor nationals as a privateer. As a lot of you know it is very very hard to do this sport as a privateer out of your own pocket. I was forced to miss the Washougal national from my pockets just not being deep enough to pay for the gas, hotel, entry fee's, and food. I set up a donation page to help fund my travels to the last three nationals. Any money would help even if it is only 1 dollar! Thank you to everyone who has supported me and watched me at the races!

J-Star is a legit hard working local Florida rider. The fact that he is out there as a privateer after the amateur support that he had is a humbling experience I'm sure. A very talented young rider that with help will certainly move up the result board. Good luck Justin always pulling for you!!

I have been a fan since he was on 50's riding the mini track at pax's. Not so much of a fan of his dad though, he would pass me like I was dragging a boat, and he was over twice my age!!Tongue

Goodluck Justin, just a suggestion, maybe post abit more on here? Such as after race weekends on how things went, or any on the road stories that might get a giggle or two... Wink Might convince the crowd to help ya out abit if your one of the gang per say.

I used to see you around here quite a bit back on the RM 85 days Justin. I've been watching your results on the ticker as well. Good to put the rest of the story together.

How about a little catch up info on what happened between the Suzuki and Honda support days and now? Just not good enough results at LL? Falling out with some of them? Injuries? Some of us would sincerely like to know how things have gone the past few years.

Thank you everyone who has stepped in and supported me and even the kind words of encouragement! It really means a lot to me and is a huge confidence booster! Thank you so much!

Coming from my amateur days everything is a lot different in the amateurs compared to the pros. I always got a crazy ton of support in amateurs and had at least 5-8 bikes at all times. When you go pro, that all goes away.. Unless you're on Geico, MyPlash, Rockstar Suzuki, etc. I am doing this all on one bike that I make payments on with my cousin as a co signer. I could have easily given up after a hurt filled year last year but I wanted it more than anything, so I sat down with my parents and I gave my cousin a call to help me get a bike and he helped me out! I am unbelievably thankful for that. A lot of sponsors and people have helped me get through this season so far. My Mechanic Brandon Gettel, Gary Buecker at GPS Suspension, Tony D at Unit Clothing, Todd Hansen at HRT Racing, Zach Forrest at Rekluse Clutches, Max at Fly Racing, John Kuzo at 100% Goggles, Brody Phillips at Pro Circuit, Pat at Bell Helmets, Chris Ackerman at 139designs, Sunstar Sprockets, Renthal, Dunlop, Alpinestars, Frenchie at C4 motors, Dave at Engine Ice, Twin Air, Works Connection, Matrix Concepts, and anyone else I forgot.

Also, I will try to post after every race and give everyone an update on what I saw at the race, some travel stories, and my overall weekend!

It's just a tough pill to swallow , there are many guy's in the same position.

My only questions are kind of general,

How long does a guy try to do this at a professional level with minimal support ?

What happens after the outdoors are over , what if the support doesn't come ?

How long does a guy risk it all for nothing ?
