I was looking around on Spring Creek's site and found a track map for the nationals.

It looks like they added a section to the track called "Ricky's Peak". Looks big and should be interesting...

If this was already posted please make fun of me mercilessly and call me a noob.

Not sure how you mean uphill quad when it appears to be only 3 jumps. Looks like they simply extended the uphill into the trees and around. Should make the downhill much faster and the ski jump more interesting with as much speed as they could be carrying off it.

Looking at the map I wonder if they will make the ski jump more of a big downhill double?

I'm thinking so... but that looks like a lot of speed coming down that hill, could be one of those jump as far as you're willing to fly places. Might also be an interesting obstacle for some of the better scrubbers out there... I could see JS7 horizontal down that thing. Could get very interesting at the bottom into the corner.

The first one is a roller - always has been. Then it's an uphill double.

Looks like they've just added an off camber sweeper.

I've never been to the facility and don't recall seeing a map like this previously, but it appears they have another track on top of the hill. Think of the possibilities if they were to incorporate some of that eventually. Long lap times?

Looks like doing the uphill double on a 250f will be especially important this year, Imagine the time you'd lose not doing the double and how much slower you'd be going up the rest of the hill compared to someone who was jumping it.

I think its a smaller kids track up there. They also incorporate it into the harescrambles that are held there.

The jumps on top of the hill are INSANE!!! They are mostly make or die doubles... like steeper than SX triples.

Nope. The kids/small track is located past the bottom of that photo. On top of the hill is the Martin boys play track. It has huge jumps...many into or out of corners...with straight down/turned landings.

It'd be awesome to have that whole facility to yourself and a few other guys on a Monday following race weekend. Wink

I don't... But there is a track in the woods between the National track and the one on the hill that has insane jumps too...and is through the woods.

I don't see it marked on the track map... Maybe Two Two Motorsports should sponsor that jump.

I wonder if they've put in a spectator tunnel under this new track section. You used to be able to go down the spectator ridge and behind the 180 turn at the top of the uphill and then navigate down to the back section double. It was a real steep descent t o walk though and they may be trying to eliminate it.

If you haven't seen this hill in person, the TV coverage does it absolutely no justice; its very steep. Perhaps without the 180 turn at the top the 250's will have a better chance of making the uphill double because its pretty difficult for them. They've still got to get enough traction up the hill to get it done though.

you can see the new section on the map the first post, but it might be easier to spot on this video... from 0.45sec onwards

That is absolutely new. It has never gone further up the hill after the roller and big double. It has always gone into an immediate left hander then a big steep table then the dropoff. I am sorry but you are wrong about that bro.

Agreed. That section is new and I can't wait to see it. I also can't imagine it being a downhill double because that hill is super steep and they will be hauling ass down it!

Well that sucks... I hate when the tracks are always the same year to year.
