How many races has he wrecked in this outdoor season...

Not even being a dick...

but his setup has to be contributing... He's always had tipovers but it seems every moto there is something...

On the top one, Trey Canard and Eli Tomac crashed in the same spot. Are their setups suspect as well?

Ya clearly it is possible to crash in the same place... But he has been wrecking A LOT this year dude, even for him...

Good point but how come every time the broadcast (indoors and out) shows "big wreck" it's usually poor James? I think it's hard for him to back down the pace to make it to the finish, that's how he's wired.

I just don't get it...

It used to be..."well he's going so much faster than everyone, so of course he crashes more..." but even then, he wasn't crashing as often...

I read/heard RC talking a few times about have a some forgiving aspects of his bike setup... I just wonder if James is really that comfortable, he just seems to be dropping it a lot... In fact if you search James Stewart 2013 crash, there is so many it's not funny.

Sux to see...

Unfortunately even when he was leading the race I was fighting off the thought.., "he's gonna eat sh!t..." Then sure enough...

Made it to and through the second moto though... So that's something... :-)

Who knows but my 06 rmz would swap on me alot.i spent alot trying to get straight line stability and never got it where I felt safe on it.my wrecks on it where in desert I should mention,but it scared me out of ever getting a zook again.im sure there are big changes in the bike since 06 but to me it looks like James bike is jumpin up and biting him like mine would.at thunder valley they showed he is running a stabilizer cause the head shake is so bad

It's obvious he's still pushing the edge of the envelope and finds his limits a lot more frequent now as his age, reflexes, and issues from past get offs catch up to him.

If Windham was still out there and/or Reed and they were trying to run that pace the results would probably be pretty similar.

James isn't that old dude, he's gotta be 27, that's prime athlete age... granted he's taken some hits... but still

That fall in the Budds rollers didn't look that bad. But he sure seemed dazed when he got up.

I wonder how many of the top riders make significant changes to their personal tracks.

Blazing around the same track day in and day out gives them a load of confidence but can lead them into false confidence when tracks with totally different obstacles come up.

How many have created a personal track with 10 lines of ruts going up the face of the jumps?

I think all of them would be more prepared and know when to back it off some in order to stay up if they would constantly change their personal track conditions to include some nasty sections or go ride several different locations with varying obstacles.

Maybe even throw in some time in the woods with some trees, some great lessons to be learned smacking those babies.

Ever since he left the green machine behind he has usually been on the ground. Unfortunately its to the point now you wonder where and when he will crash each race/moto Unsure I wondering about his concussion syndrome issues. He barely hits his head at all now and he looks like he drank 10 jagerbombs Sad

I think Stewart flipped his whole track around fairly recently. In the last video I saw from the compound the track was being run backward.

He had his share of crashes on Kawasaki's too though. Can't forget about that. Even on 125's.

the guy is tough as nails. he has enough money to call it quits if his heart wasn't in it. He hits the ground almost every week and gets up every time and as of recently, finishes his motos despite how gnarly the wrecks are.

In my mind he's earned respect and paid his dues and anyone that discredits him can suck a d*ck

Pretty much my thoughts. James can't do anything right in the fan's eyes. Lots of undeserved hate toward the guy.

You sure about him "having enough money to call it quits if his heart wasn't in it." A Lot of athletes have made more than him, and ended up broke. Not saying that is the case with JS, but who knows?

I think its the Suzukis forward facing Cylinder that makes the bike handle funny, maybe he should switch to the cutting edge design of the YZF450 that he won so many races on. Whistling

That crash at Vegas when he was on a 125 was brutal. You heard him slam the ground 20 rows up.

Kind of weird that he was so dazed. Didn't look like his head hit the ground at all. Maybe the whiplash is enough to give him concussion these days?

I'd be interested to see the crash stats on Stewart on the Yam vs the Zook. I reckon he's crashed more since he went back to the forward facing engine. Maybe it wasn't the bike after all?
