That ain't his first username. Or the second. Same results in previous lives.

But I think to drop half an innuendo and just leave it dangling is pretty crappy.

So Mr Info drops innuendo all the time, this or that National track is mad at so & so , and So & so charges to much , then jumps in on this one saying business is business and lets not comment on dealings between two other people, Am I the only one who thinks it's even more absurd that he constantly comments about DC and his business from basically the same point of view he's asking people not to comment ?

Do you pay any attention to what Mr. Info has to say? I don't...other than to realize what he posts here does more to hurt Glen Helen than help it.

Another dutch newssite says that he was testing a Gariboldi Honda recently.. (while saying to Beursfoon he was 'visiting a friend')

Well the team have made it pretty clear why it has ended there is no ambiguity - the kid can't hack what they require, he has been there a while and obviously had plenty of time to adjust and this is a huge shame but the result would no doubt have been the same with CLS. Again - moving to Europe and racing on a very much harder schedule is not an easy thing to do, regardless of what you think from your chairs the championships over here are f'ing difficult - perhaps more respect should be given to people who actually pull it off regardless which side they originate from and go to,,,,,,,,,,, that works both ways all.

I hope more people appreciate why 338 has come back a better rider than when he left.

Personally I think it's opposite, 0 race winnings and bikes u get the week of the race to learn how to ride arnt easy and I can see a little compensation being fair, I'm racing the gp this weekend and my deal is I can get 300 euros OR I can keep the pro grip helmet and goggles AND THE BAG for myself. I picked keeping the gear, true story I'd rather have the memory to put up on my wall then 300 bucks!
GOOD LUCK JEFF !

I have to agree with Jay on this one. Is this really what the economy has come to? A rider of your calibre Jeff shouldn't be riding for a helmet and goggles!!! I seriously hope things pick up.

Enjoy the experience.

Surely you don't mean that the Europe schedule is much harder than the US? Especially the 450 class. I could understand comparing them closely with the GP's and the multitude of national championships these guys race as well but I am not sure you can say the schedule is "much harder" and be accurate. The US guys race 30+ races typically and the travel is very far as well. I understand with the Thailand/Dubai/Brazil rounds it becomes tiresome but they usually give weeks off to recover from this. The US schedule usually involves more than 5000 km of flying each weekend for most guys. I wouldn't really want to speculate on which is tougher but I do have to object to saying the GP guys have a "much harder" schedule.

A weekend schedule yes for sure, perhaps I could have chosen a better selection of words - i didn't mean schedule in general, even though they do have gp and multi nationals. i dont think comparing the schedules is fair or there is an answer or that there should even be a comparison - much like the ama vs gp bullshit...

I know the AMA season is a bitch, in fact I was talking about it yesterday in another thread - it sucks how much time you don't get off, no arguments there, not from me at least.

you did mean what you wrote as usual but now you got served by someone who's raced both sides and told you, that you were wrong, why don't you admit/own to what you write.

You know, in a way, can you blame Michael for trying to get a better ride? Europe is hard enough, but from what it sounds like, there certainly is another side of the story. Sure he probably needed to communicate a little better, but it sounds like the Beursfoon guy was making some assumptions. Either way, it sounds like a miscommunication.

Doesn't sound at all like that to me,I know this is all there is to go by but if its anything to go by it sounds like you're giving Leib the benefit of the doubt to say the least, but I guess more might unfold

Part of another Beursfoon statement,From MX247:

At the end of May Michael returned to the Netherlands. Despite claiming that he had been maintaining a full training routine, he could not complete riding sessions of more than 15 or 20 minutes at a time. The team was concerned and arranged a meeting with a medical specialist.

After further treatment, Michael's injury healed far better. Not long after, the team had to endure regular complaints from the rider. The co-operation became worse when Michael was asking for more unattainable things. The team has done everything they could for Michael and has done everything what was written in the contract. The team complied, in the spirit of keeping the riders' minds on their performances on the track. It was not long before that it came to the team's attention that the rider was negotiating for a spot in another team, where he could earn slightly more. This was enough for the team to end the co-operation with Michael Leib with immediate effect.

As true, motocross fans and supporters, the team has been the epitome of generosity in the motocross paddock for the last 15 years. When matters go away in such an unpleasant manner, however, the time has come to reconsider their further participation in the sport. The team will complete the season with Mike Kras and reconsider its position at the end of the season.

If it is true that he was looking for another spot while under contract then he is, to me, clearly in the wrong for going about it that way. While it would be nice to give him the benefit of the doubt this statement from Beijer is troubling.

Well I guess it's time to clear a few things up....

-Michael was VERY clear before he came over to Europe to ride that he would only do so if the equipment was able to win gp's! The team made it VERY clear they wanted to same and would "do whatever it takes costs not a issue" to get competitive motors and chassis. After almost 3 weeks of being in holland and riding sub par equipment that broke after 25 min of riding the team went back on there word. After making arrangements to get a competitive engine package set up the team failed to follow thru on there side (all costs where where explained in writing before he left for Europe) they simply said NO they have a fast bike you race this or go home (short version). After driving 11 hrs of a 15 hour trip towards Italy to do suspension testing the team owner made it clear race with what they have or leave. So the truck turned around to drive back to holland dropping leib off at Dusseldorf airport. Michael was at the counter to book his flight home when several friends made many calls and good friend from Italy helped him book a flight to Italy so that he could attend this weekends GP and talk to teams. Gariboldi honda team agreed to a last min test to see if there was a possible fit. To be clear there was no such "deal" done before Michael left for Italy as the Beursfoons Suzuki team claims. Case in point is IF a deal was made to happen I (as a close friend of Leibs) would not have tore down his race bike tuesday night in the usa to pack all needed race parts in bags and buy a flight ticket to Italy with 12hrs notice. We came up with a loose plan to possibly enter as a wild card for this weekends GP on a borrowed bike with Leibs own parts from the usa if the Gariboldi test didnt work out. Now the Beursfoons team is trying to use the court system to keep Michael from racing to save face and the truth of there actions to come out. Simply put the team and Michael couldn't agree an parted ways yet some wealthy team owner thinks he can get his way buy making threats of a lawsuit etc along with emailing many teams in the paddock that Leib is a bad person etc... What's awesome is to see the reaction of everyone in the paddock an how friendly and happy they are Michael is here. Now he is doing a last minute guest ride for Gariboldi Honda to see if they can make something happen.

I type this on a iPhone with maybe 10 hrs sleep in the last 72 hrs after flying to italy an sleeping at the track last night. I don't see why so many people can bitch about a kid who's career is on the line yet he just wants to race on good equipment. That's the story plan an simple.....

One more note there never was a contract with the team just a verbal agreement that they team failed to hold up on there side.

I meant what i said, the weekend schedule is way more intense, at no point did i say the season is more intense - that is the end of it so far as i am concerned, i wasn't owned either - in fact it was a clear point made fairly by somebody reading into what was written - where as you choose to try and create something that isn't there you soft lad.

But carry on, i am sure what you say matters somewhere. Go read the below if you think I really believe that the AMA guys have an easy run, please try and read slowly though - in such a way that it goes in and stays in and can be indexed in a way that it makes some sense.

i will say this, when i was inholland and saw what michael was riding i thought it looked like an awesome bike. when he rode the bike i thought it was possible he was gonna get hurt, when a bike turns off mid way threw a whoop section thats when u say im done however he continued to try and ride that bike and ended up crashing in the race really hard when he was 5 seconds ahead of me and we were leading. you dont come to a race with stuff like that and think your going to get a second chance at having a rider come back and not get to test a bike. not trying to defend anyone here but in this case the rider is putting his ass on the line and the history hes had with that team isnt exactly something to put your life down for.
